Saw a rumour that Geelong will play West Coat at Norwood Oval. The good news about Gather round is that we’ve avoided both SA teams but the bad news is we have Geelong, again, and it’s our ‘home’ game.
Oh, and we play them again later in the year at GMHBABCDEFG stadium
(Probably)
PMaybe we’ve cottoned on to the Hawks copying us, so now we are saying we aren’t interested in Dovaston so in turn they aren’t interested when really we are! Masterful gambit.

Certainly not, but I see Hynes more as a Mid. Of the two available this year, I'd prefer Pickett.I'm not sure we'd play that many small forwards in our set up.
Naughton, Darcy. Weightman, Croft + at least once defensive HF and at times a resting mid.
Giving up on Hynes & Dolan already?
Were you looking at the 2025 fixture? The good news about Gather round is that we’ve avoided both SA teams but the bad news is we have Geelong, again, and it’s our ‘home’ game.

Given who his brother is, father is and grandfather was I don’t see his selection as a big of a risk as you do. The upside of his selection given his genetics is worth a late pick any day of the week. I’m certain they know all they need to know.Feels like an excuse tbh. Like what's the benefit of hiding in school footy and hindering his own development? Will he feel like he belongs if he's drafted or feel like he's just there through nepotism?
The list management team would also be putting their jobs on the line gambling on such a speculative pick. Like imagine if the next Freijah is drafted just after him
Yeah silly what if,Given who his brother is, father is and grandfather was I don’t see his selection as a big of a risk as you do. The upside of his selection given his genetics is worth a late pick any day of the week. I’m certain they know all they need to know.
For a late/rookie pick he's well worth the spot. Sam was a late pick projection prior to his u18 year, he wasn't even on the scouting radar until he took about 8 intercept marks in round 1 of the CTL when everyone turned up to watch Daicos.Given who his brother is, father is and grandfather was I don’t see his selection as a big of a risk as you do. To be fair Darcy kept growing. He certainly wasn't 205cm for whatever footy they could have played the year before, in the 2020 covid draft. For a late/rookie pick he's well worth the spot. If he does make it Will is more than likely to be a 'late' bloomer.
He also marks the ball at its highest point like Sam, so his height is even more damaging. To be fair Darcy kept growing. He certainly wasn't 205cm for whatever footy they could have played the year before, in the 2020 covid draft.
Note that Will is "only" 196cm as it stands, although to be fair he might keep growing at age 18 just like Sam did. Key position height yes, but not so tall that the height in an of itself gives him an advantage as is the case with Sam. No doubt with Will, even if he had done just as little this year, his draft stock would be a lot higher if he was 200cm tall and not 196cm.
Cue him becoming the next superstarI believe any interest from us in Dovaston has cooled.
Hope that means we get a Geelong style end of seasonSo we’ve got Brisbane (away) Hawks (gather round) and Geelong (away) (of course) within the first 6 weeks
Christ.

Did you forget that we have Selwood? We are cooked for next year. See ya in 2027.
That is reserved for the club whose past officials are present in large numbers at AFL houseHope that means we get a Geelong style end of season
At least we can beat up on Essendope so at least 1 winSo we’ve got Brisbane (away) Hawks (gather round) and Geelong (away) (of course) within the first 6 weeks

Grandfathers, noting both played over 100 games and I would say Shaw was probably better than David.Given who his brother is, father is and grandfather was I don’t see his selection as a big of a risk as you do.
