I wish we had a list spot open so we could draft Matthew Panos
Was written off way too early. Last I heard he was an inside mid racking up disposalsI wish we had a list spot open so we could draft Matthew Panos
He is a far better kick than Cross BD.
Crossy couldn’t kick over a jam tin.

Losing Sando is not worth getting butters for.I think he ends up as currency for the butters trade too
I mean it depends what we have to add to Sanders of course, but Butters is significantly better than Sanders probably ever will beLosing Sando is not worth getting butters for.
I’d like to keep sando and get butters ideallyLosing Sando is not worth getting butters for.
Butters is a top 3 mid in the leagueLosing Sando is not worth getting butters for.
That’s what I meant. We could get him without losing Sanders. Just throw in an extra first or two instead.I’d like to keep sando and get butters ideally
Wow. Ok.Losing Sando is not worth getting butters for.
Been doing a lot of cross-training but haven’t seen him running yet, even on the anti-gravity treadmill. Suspect they’re taking an ultra cautious approach to his rehab. Is Weightman back training?
He’s decent and will never play AFL due to English. Same situation as Sweet. Definitely will be a cheap target for other clubs.Hi fellas, what is the ruck Lachie Smith's contract situation and what is he like as a player in the VFL? Was brought up on our board
Improving well enough at his age to think he has an AFL future.Hi fellas, what is the ruck Lachie Smith's contract situation and what is he like as a player in the VFL? Was brought up on our board
Much more mobile and better skills than Sweet. Never play is a massive statementHe’s decent and will never play AFL due to English. Same situation as Sweet. Definitely will be a cheap target for other clubs.
He refused a 3 year extension earlier this year and instead went with a 1 year in order to prove himself and leave options open for other opportunities.Improving well enough at his age to think he has an AFL future.
His game takes a lot of development because he's a short ruck made worse by a short wingspan and short jumping reach and an inability to play other positions other than ruck. So he has to be a crafty, physical ruck who reads the play and reads the stoppage well, your Ben Hudson/Toby Nankervis types.
By all accounts he's apparently happy to bide his time behind English and keep developing his game, and he is a Victorian so there's no interstate move motivation.
In a game that prefers to poach rather than develop young rucks. Or to keep journeymen the likes of Tom Campbell on a list as a backup. His refusal to sign a contract extension makes plenty of sense. He's already shown enough to suggest that he will be a competent ruck sooner rather than later. Whether that is with us, or at multiple clubs across the course of his career, remains to be seen.He refused a 3 year extension earlier this year and instead went with a 1 year in order to prove himself and leave options open for other opportunities.
Butters is a necessary ingredient in any good Sando.
Agree with that, but he kicked the ball less then 6 times on average this year which isn't anywhere near good enough. It really is strange because Sanders at U16 level took the game on a lot more and kicked a lot more which gives me optimism that he can do it again. However he's had this handball obsession ever since after U16's and it seems to only be getting worse. Even this year he handballed it over a 2 to 1 ratio which was worse then ever and that really should never be happening given he's playing outside roles. Is it the way he's been coached? I don't know. I know he has to get out of this mindset or he's just going to end up being a bit average.
Bont played 16 games year 1, 21 games year 2.Think he has a high floor, low ceiling. 'Special' is over the top. Was Bont playing 2s in his second year?
Bont played 16 games year 1, 21 games year 2.
Ryley played 14 games year 1, 21 games year 2.
Let's just hope Ryley maintains the trajectory and plays 26 games and a flag year 3.
