Disappointing we didn’t manage to poach a ruck from anywhere. Laurie and Janz to the weags and McAuliffe delisted. Hope they have a solid plan for the draft.

Weags have just picked up a pair of Irish sisters from Gaelic footy as rookies - wonder why we don’t look to Ireland. There’s a clear pathway that’s been set up with the express result being Gaelic players making their way into the AFLW. Some of the Irish players this last season were stars.

I'm expecting we will draft Caitlin Hill - 18yo 184cm. Was the 2018 WA u18s ruck under coach Trent Cooper and is now playing as the ruck for Swan Districts under coach Kara Donnellan. And we can never have too many Hills at Freo. Can see us adding someone more mature as well though.

Hill will play this weekend as will Kimberley Bowey (23, 175cm, EF), Lauren Quaife (Peel) and Lindhal Rhode (Subi). Have limited knowledge about any of them.

I don't know them well enough. I think Hill is talented but needed to improve her fitness. Interested to see if she has. Her game will be streamed so we will get to see.
