Why on earth would we go for a 28yo Street or Broagn? Warnock is far more advanced than both Kruezer and Hamspon at this stage and would be our Number 1 immediately. Carlton are one of not many clubs that will be prepared to give it up its 1st choice, due to the fact we have the youngest list in the comp but also the best youngsters in the country (Murohy, Gibbs, Kruezer,).

You are seriously talking rubbish suggesting Carlton would give up their first pick for Warnock, how do you come to the conclusion that Carlton would give up their first pick for him, whilst he has some talent and potential no way is he worth giving up our first pick for.

The word from Carlton is that we are super keen on Robbie Warnock from Freo (205cm), with our No. 1 pick up for grabs. Carlton also keen to try and get David Mundy (keen to get back to Melb) as a sweetner in the deal. Freo are keen on Bower as part of the deal.

Carlton's 1st Rounder (Pick 6-9) for Warnock and Mundy.
* Possibly also Bower

If they want Bower they will have to butter up. He is the most improved player on our list this year and was doing some great work prior to his injury.

Players like him don't grow on trees.

If we trade our number 1 pick I will scream......and seriously consider not following the club.

Jordan Russell for James Sellar could be on the cards.
Nice parody of Bigfooty offers. ;) :thumbsu:

Trade Stevens to St Kilda as a replacement for Harvey and ontrade the pick to Fremantle for Warnock. Lyon is copying Roos and the their players they're close to winning a flag, so they might want another mature midfielder and quality ball user to replace Robert Harvey.

The Dogs have got value out of Aker for a second round pick, so a club might bite at Stevens.

But I'd much rather we trade Fevola and his attitude to Sydney and Thornton to St Kilda/Hawthorn/Fremantle.

The Dockers need a good Thornton and a defender.

Bower going nowhere. Dont want Mundy. Already have Thronton for the exact same role. Warnock MAYBE. Would rather have Street or Brogan for 3 years instead of having Kruezer Hampson Warnock in 3 years and having to choose between 2 and 1 will evntually leave.
GET MCKINLEY
GETHANSEN
Would give up 1st round pick maybe for both
or 2nd round pick and a average payer
rather the second

Id look at giving a second round pick for both, but not first. McKinley is having a good year at a crap club and Hansen has played a couple of decent games out of 16, not first pick material. Look at Westhoff had a blinder last year and cant find the pill this year, it could happen to McKinley and we'll be muppets for giving our first draft pick away.

When it comes to players we just dont have much to offer on the trade table with a lot of it to do with the GC 17 draft concessions. Players like Bentick, Carrots, Houlihan would be more valuable for depth (and the fact they have mature bodies) rather than the maximum 4th round draft pick we would get.

Walker isnt leaving
im praying that carlton arent that stupid
being at the match on sunday i was amazed at the pace he had
i think will be a huge asset to the team with him and armfield streaming off the HB line

I agree - potential is an ugly word but Walker has too much potential for us to trade him. His pace is amazing and he knows how to get the ball

Warnock is not that good. He is a giant but he doesn't get all that mnay hit-outs and we cat have 3 top line ruckman as one iwll entualy leave (thats if Hampson comes through) Street will win the Hitouts almost every match and can take getting hit reguraly

I would be tempted to trade

- Thornton

- Houlihan

- Fevola

- Stevens

if the deal was right....Stevens and Houlihan are highly skilled players who would possibly have good currency to a side that saw its premiership window wide open. Stevens is either injured or put out he was passed over as captain, maybe he needs a change of environment. Our window is 2-3 years away so I say trade him now if he gets good value.

As for Fevola, we are too reliant on him so I would be open to seeing what we can get for him. We don't owe him loyalty after how he has behaved this year with contract negotiations so let's keep an open mind. I think Thornton is overrated and if he has currency I would take it. I like the look of our up and coming defenders.

I would NOT trade Walker, he adds so much to our side, just look at last Sunday. I also think JR should be given more chances, he won't have trade value anyway and you can see glimpses of how good he could be...if only...

PS Congrats to Wiggins for 100 games, it's been a battle but all credit to him. Good to see him have a regular spot.

Thornton- we should keep but if ther right offer comes up and the coach has full faith in Mark Austin then we shoudl go for it. May need to keep him as i cant see Setant being around much longer. Houlihan wont get squat. Better off keeping as we could use a player like him round out HF line. good for 25 goals if he plays 22 matches up forward. Fevola- everyone already knows what i think. Stevens aint going nowhere
