Not really. We have a good record without him and much of that is down to extra effort by the rest when he is out and a deep midfield. His great assets per above add a lot to the team every week, every year. No other player that I have ever seen has his record for consistant excellence. You cannot replace that in a club. Under different coaches with different game plans and different requirements from Buckley he has excelled.

With him this year we beat ADelaide BECAUSE BUCKLEY got the vital clearance and kicked the ball to Tarrant after a great team effort.

Even back in 1999, our worst year in our entire history, we did not win a game until Buckley returned from a broken jaw and we won because Buckley was BOG.
