I'm not sure if this is worse or on a par with the Darling for Ballantyne trade notions that have been floating around.

He's a very good player playing a very tough position. For the right price I'd definitely take. In a straight swap for Conca? Yes please! More likely add in a swap of 2nd round picks, would still take.
Darling for Conca in a straight swap, maybe swap second rounders to balance.

Sheesh

GF 15...look at Kennedys game....Rnd 2 this yr against Hawks...look at Kennedys game....as examples.

Franklin will find away to get involved. Kennedy needs all the i's dotted and all the T's crossed to put it together.

He is a flat track pro...like our Group.
What a horrifically inaccurate post.

You are so far off the mark it's not funny.

Most forwards struggle against the better defensive teams in the comp. It's called team defence now. If Kennedy was around in the 90's he would kick 100 goals a season.

The game has changed and forwards rarely compete 1 on 1 now.

Kennedy is a champion and I rank him better than sumich.

Yes and no. Nic applies big pressure at the contest...but i truly believe his inability to bring it for 4 quarters is what makes him B+. If NN had Coxes tank id agree with you 100%...but he doesnt...and he has another slight which is his poor kicking technique. But yes, if Nic had Mastos tank (now there is a spud player) Nic would be huge even without an A+ kicking technique.
I realy think we have a culture problem at WCE...our group thinks its better than they are.
Kennedy saying "oh Leccas got another yr on his contract so he will be playing "...like realy Josh. It doesnt matter what your surname is...if you deliver the tripe Leccas dished up this yr you belong at EP...or off the list.
We arent hard enough on each other at WC.
If you were our coach the only person getting a game each week would be you.

We have offered him a contract also , just in case he isn't picked up as a free agent ...so how respectful are WCE :thumbsu::footy:
Ask yourself if 5 years ago we'd except pick 12 and Nathan Brown for JK and you have your answer.

People criticise other team boards for suggesting idiotic trades then offer up pick 12 and Brown for Hogan.

I'd suggest Freo would be happy to offer puck 3 and Weller.

Changing subject

On talking footy they seemed quite convinced that Collingwood were offering Chris maybe $2m over 4 years which despite its obvious stupidity also means that Fremantle will end up with a 2nd round compo pick which would be pick 22

For Chris ******* Mayne
Franklin compensation was pick 19.

I'm more convinced then ever that the draft order should be done over 2 seasons - W/L record (could only be H&A) or tallying up the final positions is fine. The most recent season is the tie break for teams that are even. Seems pretty crazy that Freo get such a high pick after being up to the top for so long. To a less extent Geelong in the 2015 draft, and many many teams before.

..unfortunately. ...that argument just reinforces our clubs softness. The only thing that counts is winning big games. If we dont have players that are capable. ...why on earth percevere with them.
WUBB has it right. Too many pea-hearted players among the best names on our list. Cant see us close to a flag at all.

What really has me scratching my head is that Nic Nat, for what he's paid, returning the same number of Brownlow votes as Pat McGinnity is a disgrace to the black swan.

Well mcg had that excellent game. But neither got many and ruckmen hardly get any.

Wubb isn't right as so far he has not shown any intelligence on how the game is actually played.

Don't kick a score->forwards fault
Get beaten -> defence fault

I love that caveman logic.

NN is a 500k a yr player...
But i gather ALick Vozzo has him on 800k to 1M. Overrated and overhyped.

If we end up getting a good trade offer for EMac and lose Brown for 5th band compo, how would people feel about using the Brown compo in a trade for Dunn?

I think Dunn is actually a pretty decent footballer and would offer good depth/security...He's an upgrade over Brown for mine.
I don't know if he'd take a 2yr deal to move over here though.
We could do worse.

Brisbane in the box seat for Dunn for i would say more money and better job security

You are spot on there calibrating a value of someone based on their Brownlow Votes.

Le Cras had 5 times the votes of NN - up his pay dramatically
Yeo had 3 times the votes of NN - up his pay substantially

Reports suggest GWS's Jarrod Pickett toured Ikon Park (Carlton's training facilities) this morning. #AFLTrades #CARL #GWS

Eagles need to have a crack he is the type of player we missing in the forward line.
If true, I'll be disappointed if yet another WA talent chooses to leave their side and move to Vic instead of home. Surely someone who has never lived in Melb (Pickett, O'Meara) can't claim he wants a trade to Vic for the lifestyle? It's gotta be the sales pitch of Carlton/Hawthorn?

It's also mindboggling how many Vic clubs are managing to convince GC & GWS kids to use the homesickness excuse to request a trade, while none seem to be wanting to come back to WA (except McCarthy who is suffering a genuine mental health issue)?

What gives?
