Anyone think Mitch McGovern might want to play with his brother?

Is this a "duelling banjos" comment, I know they are Country boys but Albany is not quite the deep south of Mississippi ... where they " play them :violin::violin::violin: fiddles boy".......... or are asking he would like to play football in the same team as his brother ???

They also linked Steele to the saints, Hoskin-Elliot to Collingwood, Mitchell to the Hawks, lobb to w.a with both clubs fighting for him and Bradley hill to either w.a club.

Stevo just mentioned on Gameday, that West Coast had a 2 year offer on the table for Shaun Grigg on the table, has re-signed with Richmond but found that interesting nonetheless.

Edit: Beaten above.

Stevo is a delusional fool who's only real research is chemically induced. You lose points for watching the show and all cred for listening to him

I agree wholeheartedly can't stand him, still found it interesting, if true that is.

Find it really hard to believe we had a deal for Grigg being on the table.
He'll be 29 next year and doesn't fit in with our drafting age profile that BOND 007 has been talking about.

The positive if true is that it looks like we're going to be aggressive in acquiring midfield talent.

I think we can afford to lose both Mackenzie & Brown. The game particularly our defence system has moved past that kind of one on one defender. We require pressure across the ground otherwise we are going to be cut up anyway. Having a great one on one defender if they are moving the ball cleanly wont do much.

The best thing is to have a couple of good marking talls who can read the play and play in the web like Barrass & Gov do. With Schofield as the optional defender based on height, or Gov forward.

I would prefer to get Mackenzie back to his old self and take Schofields role but we dont know that will happen and his kicking has always been suspect. I much prefer this fast thinking fast moving backline that backs in their kicking. McGovern, Hurn, Barrass, Shep and despite the odd brain fade Wellingham.

Maybe. But where would he fit into the side? He would cost a second rounder I reckon.
Mitch would be the perfect replacement for Le cras in another year. Half forward who can roam up the ground, get his own ball and take a big grab and goal. Taller and bigger than Le cras. The perfect modern day half forward.

2nd rounder as a minimum. Late first rounder if he keeps improving like he has.
