Really don't know. He's certainly showing good signs.
Next year we need one or two to really grab a spot by the horns. Nelson, Cole and Duggan must cement their positions for us to really go again. Priddis is in the age bracket where production will start coming down. Lecras is finished so we need a player there.

Future looks great if we can just get a few to turn out as players. Do u think lamb is leaving?

Why would Hill even be on the radar? That just sounds like an opportunistic grab like Jetta was. Lobb is a powerful AFL player already. Hill is just a player wanting to return to WA.
Its really about getting something of value for Lamb. I can see Hawthorn being intetested in a player like Lamb. 194cm mobile marking forwatd with a decent tank. They are struggling for height everywhere.

Would you trade Lamb for a three time premiership winger or a 3rd or 4th round pick that likely would become nothing and at best take 3 years to show something?

Thank christ you answered this BOND 007

Ridiculous to think Eric has no currency.

He'd be worth top 15- 20 pick I would've thought?

EDIT: just saw your post re: his worth
Emac AND Masten + our 3rd for 22 + 23 sound fair to me...I think GC would be interested.
What would you value them at?

Emac worth something to maybe GWS (in window but have academy picks to get), Bulldogs (in window, but has a couple of aging key backs such as Morris. But Emac doesn't fit their good disposal criteria), Sydney as a replacement for Richards (but have academy picks to get) and Bombers if they think they can compete next year. No other clubs spring to mind as needing him given age profiles.

Mid 2nd round pick at best.

Masten? I just don't see him adding anything to any of the current crop of contenders and soon to be contenders. Sydney, GWS, Adelaide, Hawks, Bullies, Geelong would have zero to little interest. North could use him, but they already have plenty of soft outsiders and are in a rebuild.

Maybe an mid 3rd pick if we are lucky.

They need talls and Freo won't be giving up any of theirs and they don't have a 2nd round pick.

Lamb has been trying to break into a side with Kennedy And Darling as key talls and Le cras and Hill as medium talls. Not much opportunities there to stay.

I reckon powell pepper can be a 2 goal a game small forward that can replace Lecras . Different type of player but can mongrel scrap goals in stoppages . Already has the great dont argue . Partington just starting to come along . Snadden playing well also

Well the good news is WA depth in this draft is outstanding next year depth isnt as good
so this is the year to make mutlipile cuts to a list

Delist Certainty

Damian Cavka
Xavier Ellis
Jamie Bennell
Patrick McGinnity

Possible Delist
Fraser McInnes
Malcolm Karpany

Possible Trades
Tom Lamb
Mitch Brown
Eric Mckenzie

Thats 9 possible main list changes which i dont see happening probably max of 6 changes
So karpany and Mcinnes may stay on the list (though i would cull them)

Rookie Delist Certainty
Brant Colledge
Kane Lucas

Possible Rookie Delist
Simon Tunbridge
Alec Waterman

Intertnational Rookie
Paddy Brophy no need to cull him but if club thinks he cant improve may do so anyway.

With Rookie I think Tunbridge will go giving us 3 rookie picks in the draft

Adamson is a cat B rookie and we can leave him there for one more year. On that basis he remains a free hit and there's no imperative to upgrade him at this stage. Conversely it would be madness to cut him not least because he's been developing nicely but also because he's not taking up list or salary cap space

Everything you say is true, but I just don't see how Lamb for Hill gets done without something else being added by us. Not that I want Hill anyway.

Respectively disagree. Your assuming that they couldn't get someone better than Masten for a 2nd rounder and heaps of cash.
They've got two first rounders and about four second rounders at the moment, could potentially have more after the washup from O'meara, Prestia and Swallow leaving. They're going to need some mature players while the next lot of kids come through, I think we'd get a second from them for Masten easily, especially considering we got one for Rosa from them.

My sliding doors

If GWS get monstered by big forwards and go out of the finals in straight sets.

Then EMac suddenly becomes even more desirable to them and his price goes up.
GWS also have three first round picks this year, assuming they won't give up a Lobb I think a late first for McKenzie is fair.

Well GWS play the Swans and if they lose then Adelaide. It will be interesting how they perform on the big stage for the first time.

If I was Emac and I asked to be traded it would be to GWS. So much talent there, the only problem is salary cap and what they would pay $ for him.

If he wanted $ and not success then Lions. Could see the Bulldogs interested in him as well as Caaaarlton.

it will be warm, who would; pay that much for Masten;)
If he goes anywhere it will be Gold Coast.

With Duggan and Partington pushing for game time next year one of those HFF positions needs to be opened up. Redden and Jetta get in a good preseason and we retain Tunbridge and he stays fit there is a big surplus of players gunning for Mastens spot.

Brisbane would love EMac - just lost Merritt and need some scperience with the youth.

Well I wouldn't be trading Lamb unless he comes forward asking for a trade. What's the point? Lecras is on his last legs and Cripps/Hill aren't exactly generational players who can't be displaced.

This board seems to want to trade any player that isn't a regular in their first 2 seasons.
