A couple of questions from someone too lazy to look at the mock thread itself, Monocle. Why no Waterman, was he picked too early for your liking?
Secondly what ruck prospects did you think we'd look at in this draft, and where are they? Something from WA that will last to the rookie draft? Obviously this last one is the sort of thing that might be impacted by trades and thus not something that a mock can readily take into account.
RE : Waterman as a general rule those who do the trial Mock generally let any prospective father and son picks slide so that they get picked up by others where the general consensus lies with fellow recruiters. I mentioned that in the Mock itself. Waterman was taken with pick # 53 FYI. So me passing on him at 50 was deliberate.
RE : Ruckmen. This is probably the worst year for many years to be looking for a ruck man in the draft , its very thin on that position.
IMO the best pure ruck man in the draft is a WA boy Goddard.
English from South Fremantle is ok but not a genuine AFL ruck man in my book rather a KPP that can ruck.
Outside that there are two others Peter Ladham's and Jordan Sweet from SA and Max Lynch Murray Bushrangers, none of whom I would take before the third round and thats a bit of a reach.
From a WC perspective our best prospect is WAFL player Darcy Cameron from Claremont, who has been passed over the last two years drafts but he has come on well this season and at 204 cm and 104 kg he is a player who can hold down a KPF role and also ruck.
