It's actually his lowest avg. goals per game since 2006

Stats also misrepresented due to getting the skis on against bottom teams.

While against good opposition or away from home...

Rd. 2 Hawks:
16 touches, 0 goals

Rd. 4 Sydney:
13 touches, 0 goals

Rd. 6 Geelong:
11 touches, 1 goal

Rd. 9 Port Adelaide:
12 touches, 0 goals

Rd. 12 Adelaide
12 touches, 0 goals

Rd. 19 Collingwood
9 touches, 0 goals

People want this team to actually compete, yet stick up for someone who is the epitome of our issues, a downhill skier who (while a great servant of the club) is past his best and needs to be either given a massive rocket or sent packing.
I've been critical of Lecca when he's deserved a roast and actually agree he should go out on top now ,he just doesn't travel away very good .

Why can I not be annoyed at him (and the club)?
Doesn't mean I don't respect what he's done for the club, but right now he's become a liability for the team, and the year he had was very poor (by his standards).

Clearly this year he deserved to be dropped multiple times (much like WB did with Stringer) yet it never happened.

Now I hear that he'd sook it if he played for EP (apparently), which would be a very poor way for a player to act.
Annoyed at the club that a player is being gifted a game, said player hints at retirement annoyed at player and club...aaaaaaaannddd we have lost the plot

First week of the pre-season and already the club doing its best circus impersonation with the Adamson two-step. We fans sit here hoping those who are making these calls know what they are doing but then again #JettaforBrown #Lecrastothemidfield I'm not so sure anymore.
I'm one who thought we should behave kept Adamson for another year

That said he's 24 and wasn't AFL standard so the likelihood of him becoming a good AFL player was small

Had he been a regular rookie rather than a cat b rookie I don't think there would be much angst that he's been delisted

It's hardly the worst call they've made and there is some justification for it

He was on the rookie list so he would be on the absolute minimum. Not sure how earning around $60,000 or so is doing well financially?

I think he was worth preserving with but who knows whether we will ever find out.
Was a cat B rookie which is different..from what I have read on hear (grain of salt).

On the basis of ill health I get why the club delisted Waterman. Does anyone know if he remains on the club's radar should he get his health back to a stage where he can be an endurance athlete? I had high hopes for him as the Priddis replacement.

Liam ryan seems to be too high? I see most have him late or rookie
On recent performances? Probably the best small forward in the country ATM.I think he will be a bolter and the eagles have shown they will reach for players they like( mostly unsuccessfully)

He wont last to the rookie draft. A 19 year old doing very well against men and AFL listed players.... he'll be gone by the 4th round

Claremont. New England Patriots.
On Adamson.
Maybe the Club have identified another Cat B rookie that they want and had to make the call.

Time will tell.

As for The Frenchman not wanting to play at East Perth , you can add Andrew Embley to that list of former players who preferred retirement that having to be in a position whereby they may have to wear the East Perth jumper.

The alignment concept has many flaws and this is one them.

You'd assume if his form demands it the club will look to pick him up again through the draft/rookie draft, so long as he doesn't get pinched by another club.

If Mark wants to play AFL he has to wear the fact that he might have to put an EP jumper on when form is not strong I agree on that.
But if he feels like his bets footy is behind him and can see himself being a back up player and spending the majority of his games playing for East perth then he would be doing the right thing.
I am not sure if you know about the deep rivalry between West Perth and East perth but there is no way Mark will play for East Perth. Ashton Hams chose the same path knowing he was going to be a back up player and said he would not play for East Perth and wanted to play for his own club South Fremantle.
Mark simply has to decide if he wants to be a first choice AFL player and put in the work needed. He is still young enough to do that, if he doesn't then he will go and play for his own club West Perth. It is one of the problems with the alignment.
Was not aware of that, didn't think of it.

Fair enough.

Although does bring in to question what happens when one of these WP blokes needs to be sent back to WAFL? Do we just let them clog up our team, or not play at all?

Cant you have like 4 cat b rookies at anyone time. Clubs never fill the full allocation

Who would want to play for East Perth? Now, if it was West Perth, it might be a different story.

never seen him but 4th sounds like a bargain based on performance
He has a leap that has to be seen to be believed. Off two steps he can jump over a KPF shoulders.

He's got some good speed and agility

The knocks are:
- he's very very slight. It will take time to build him up a bit
- he can fumble marks and not take the most of his opportunity on goal

Having said that i hope he ends up a saint. Hes the type of player that could become the best small fwd in the comp

only good thing is that tunners got a chance. Carbine Chaos and Eaglemaniac will be disappointed with the adamson decision. when do you expect the news to come out?
Another garbage decision by the clowns running our club. Hey maybe the next thing we could do is bring in a slow cumbersome tall with the turning circle of a Mack truck to replace a fast mid when we play a team with faster smaller players..:mad:

I think it is only an issue when it is a more consistent thing. Jack Darling coming back from a layoff played one game at East Perth, he would of hated it but did it knowing he would be straight back with the Eagles. It is not just West Perth players it is any player that never came from east perth. Nic Natanui for example is a Swan Districts product. he may have a run for East Perth on his way back to the Eagles line up coming off a knee recon. he will not like wearing an east perth jumper either but will do it as it is not permanent.
It all sounds petty but no matter their AFL careers they are loyal to their WAFL club for the most part.
Last year West perth played East perth in the WAFL preliminary, all the regular Eagles players were there to support there mates in the alignment. All had East perth shirts on except 3, Hutchings, Lecras and Darling who sat up with the West perth crowd.
But it is all clubs not just West perth, although West Perth and East Perth are staunch rivals.

If you grew up ep or wp, the dislike for the other club is visceral. Id sooner shoot hexoflouric acid down my japeye than wear red and blue.

Wifey bought new dart flights for me that were blue and red last week - refused them

Shes like "but they are blue"

With red sweetheart.... Unforgivable error.

I could handle any other club being the alignment club bar the garlics. Its thefirst time ive really sat and thought about this alignment thing - we probably need to look at it some more. Or just give it to perth. Correct me if im wrong but noone can be bothered hating them.

It wouldnt be a 1 year deal that was made obvious in my post. Better money and longer term.

Daw looks like a danderous forward who can pinch hit in the ruck. He would free up Darling and can actually take a big mark over a pack.
Fair enough, personally don't think Daw is worth investing in for a long period of time. We need to draft a young developing ruck, really don't think we need a decent ruck/forward at Daws age because it's an investment in a player who isn't getting us any closer to a premiership

ugh

Our midfield stinks, but I think our need of a young kpf is more dire, plus this looks like the draft to do it.

It just means we will need massive years from Sheed, Redden and Jetta

This is so true mate, my wife got me a blue and black adidas hoodie and keeps asking why I never wear it, I keep telling here but she does not get it.
I think the Eagles and Dockers should have their own sides in the WAFL but not be a part of the finals.
