He was on the rookie list so he would be on the absolute minimum. Not sure how earning around $60,000 or so is doing well financially?

I think he was worth preserving with but who knows whether we will ever find out.
We took him away from Baseball , he was on good money to come across .
I heard a figure but cant verify but more then three times what you think he is on .

Similar to Cox from Collingwood there is extra value in international rookies and the AFL endorse / encourage it .

He has a leap that has to be seen to be believed. Off two steps he can jump over a KPF shoulders.

He's got some good speed and agility

The knocks are:
- he's very very slight. It will take time to build him up a bit
- he can fumble marks and not take the most of his opportunity on goal

Having said that i hope he ends up a saint. Hes the type of player that could become the best small fwd in the comp
eddy isn't that big - if you are good enough

If you grew up ep or wp, the dislike for the other club is visceral. Id sooner shoot hexoflouric acid down my japeye than wear red and blue.

Wifey bought new dart flights for me that were blue and red last week - refused them

Shes like "but they are blue"

With red sweetheart.... Unforgivable error.

I could handle any other club being the alignment club bar the garlics. Its thefirst time ive really sat and thought about this alignment thing - we probably need to look at it some more. Or just give it to perth. Correct me if im wrong but noone can be bothered hating them.
Are you still together?

We didn't take him away from baseball he was jaded and struggling to make the AAA grade and I'm sure he instigated a move to footy by putting feelers out to his mate Jack Darling ..

Kinda surprised regarding Hotline, thought he was at least ahead of Brophy, seemed to be on the improve and showing some potential.
Really sad about Alec Waterman, hoping that we gave him every chance to prove that he was able to get back on the track full-time soon, but perhaps his future was still a bit unclear. If he is able to resume at full health in the next few seasons and does really well, will we still have priority over other teams to draft him?
Tbh thought that Tunners to be a chance to be delisted, but Simmo seems to quite like him, and although he's a bit inconsistent in the WAFL, he does seem to step it up a bit in the AFL. Fmac is required as a backup ruckman in NN's absence. Karps certainly saved himself from being demoted to the rookie list with his improvement this year.
So overall we have 5 main list spots open (Cavka, Ellis, McGinnity, Bennell, extra rookie on the list), as well as 2 rookie spots and 1 cat b rookie spot, so you'd think that we've seen the last of this season's delistings, esp if we are expecting any players to go through FA or trades. You'd expect us to take at least 4 on the ND and consider a few players from other clubs.

This is so true mate, my wife got me a blue and black adidas hoodie and keeps asking why I never wear it, I keep telling here but she does not get it.
I think the Eagles and Dockers should have their own sides in the WAFL but not be a part of the finals.
Whats the point of not being in a final. It disadvantages both clibs when they play finals. Fill the team up with a few reserves players and amatuer footballers.

We still took him away from Basketball. The thing is category B rookies aren't part of the salary cap. So a club like ours (basically any club who has money) can afford to lure someone with a big money (/more than current earning) offer without it negatively affecting them. However, I'm pretty sure that after three years they have to be upgraded or delisted and relisted, but you cannot then relist them as category B (as they have now been playing professional footy for three years). At this point they cost the club in the salary cap.

Well, actually, the point of the alignment was so the team could practice team plans and structures, together, not play finals. That was the whole purpose.
In my view it's not fair on the loyal EP supporters. They have a team that is at the mercy of an AFL club who will do things to benefit the said AFL club, but NOT the WAFL club. They'll pull players when they want to etc etc. All fair and reasonable on the Eagles part, but it certainly messes with what EP can do with their own team. Now before anyone mentions Peel being in the same boat, I know, just don't care. ;)

I can only repeat that the development of individuals and team based play in the Swans and GWS stand alone reserves is excellent.

It is just unprofessional to have an alignment set up to my mind.

Did he hang out with Yeo off field?
What going on with yeo off the field ?
I found out what my mate was talking about not being an on field issue .
Something about not being able to upgrade Adamson onto senior list due to tight cap space over the next couple of years .
Other priority signings on our list

If you control the recruitment and salary cap of the stand alone teams finals eligibility won't be an issue. East Perth had success in 2000 & 2001 because there were no controls on recruitment. There has been no alignment success this time because of the controls (Peel won't get passed South Fremantle next week).

He'll probably be redrafted by West Coast in the RD.
No point delisting him if we were just going to pick him up again, he was already on the rookie list.

Might be picked up next year if he can make it back to playing.

Why not keep him on the cat b list then?

Maybe because if there was no chance of elevating him due to the salary cap there isn't any point. But then why keep brophy or maybe he's on less money than Adamson was

It's confusing

Also concerning that our salary cap is tight - makes it difficult to attract someone like lobb if we have no cap space
