Mitch Thorpe worth a shot if he is there later on?
Word around is that he has been playing as a bit of a free wheeling wingmen, not a true KPP.

I'd prefer to be looking to a younger 18 year old for down the track rather than a lock and load mature ager some want us to grab.

The offer would have to be like... 'we will give you Gumby for free if you take Jetta off our hands.'

And we'd say 'If we've got to take Jetta you've got to give us 26 as well.'
Bugger, I was hoping with the time zone difference and WA team biased newspapers over there you guys wouldn't have heard of Jetta and be thinking you're onto a sweet deal!! Can't fool you guys!!

Don't necessarily think we need a marking forward Jack Package. NO'B should be playing it. After all, that is where he played most of his junior footy.

The two glaring weakness' in our list IMO is now a KPP (assuming Gumby goes) and a ruck men.

With the picks we have (including the rookie list here), surely we can find these and also grab a midfield/forward.
I reckon we do.

by my count we've got 2 key forwards and then guys like NOB/Winderlich/Chappy/Hardingham.

I'd be drafting a KPF and a mid in the nd and a tall in the rookie draft just to keep the balance of the list

I definitely want him, he is on Geelong's list though so we'd have to trade for him.
That clears that up, and I actually remember talk about this last week.... For a second I thought he was only on their VFL team... But he's the reason Chappy and Pods were moved on..... All good

I reckon we need another marking forward (tall or small). Alternatively a midfielder (just because there's stacks around).

players picked between 24-28 by year, bold is 26, could still get a good one here

2012 (Wright, White, Viney (fs), Stewart, O'Brien)
2011 (Schade, Ross, Elton, Kerridge, McInnes)
2010 (Cripps, Karnezis, Darling, Harper, Lester)
2009 (Carlisle, Black, Colyer, Bartlett, Duncan)
2008 (Suban, Redden, Post, Wright, McKernan)
Any more Jack Darling's floating about..?

Gee the Crameri thread on the D&T board is very strange... seems like majority of people don't understand how trading or the draft works, not that that is surprising.
I think most of them understand how it works but they take great joy in the fact that the EFC have lost a player for "unders" and they hope that this will hinder our finals chances in 2014. At the end of the day Crameri didn't want to be here so he goes, it gives someone else an opportunity who will no doubt give their right nut to see us successful next year.

imagine being someone who as recently as last night actually thought the dogs would part with anything other than 26.

peace out
I will admit I thought there was some possibility a swap of late picks might also have been involved, even if something as elementary as 60 for 66 or 42 for 48 (before we traded that to GWS obv.), but in the end, a straight 26 for Cram doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
