Dusty Martin, Gaff, Hanley, Adams and Longer top my wishlist. Hope we go after at least one of them, as well as try to trade for Pick 1 and end up with the best forward combo for the next 10 years!

Melksham is who I'd consider most important. He's playing the sort of footy that makes our looking elsewhere for other midfielders unnecessary. We just need Myers to join him and we will have more than enough.

How am I off that mark about Polec.

Three years on the list and he has hardly played a game,

To be fair, he has been constantly injured since joining the club. I don't even remember him actually completing a pre season. Has played the last few weeks in the reserves and shown a fair bit. We all got a bit scared when we though he was injured again a couple weeks back. But he played last weekend and performed very well against the Swans reserves side.

He seems to be settling in at Brisbane now. If you had asked me earlier in the year if I thought he would be gone, I would have said yes. Now I'd probably lean to no.

I'd be curious to know your thoughts on what guys like Crameri, Pears and Gumbleton would be worth? All would fill a big need for us. Do you think Gumbleton or Pears would be best 22 next year?

If we don't lose our picks, I think Crameri will go to the dogs. Gumbleton would be a 2nd round pick hopefully.

We need a good lead-up flanker, especially if Crameri leaves. Brisbane really only have Bewick of good quality, but I doubt he'll be traded. Very good player

All three are gettable. Crameri because we can't match the reported offers floating around, so he's going to have a tough decision to make, the others because we don't have a spot for them.

I'd re-sign Crameri if he wants to stay, and trade both Gumbleton and Pears as neither are in our best 22 (Pears in particular tends to be dropped as quickly as he comes in). Would both of them combined in a trade to GWS net us Pick 1?

Nuh uh.

Pick 10 possibly (which gws also own) but not pick 1.

I think Gumbleton will be gone - Is only on a one year contract, and Daniher is taking his position. Third Rounder would get the job done.

Would like keep Pears and Crameri, as we have Hille retiring, possibly Fletcher, Gumby leaving and Bellchambers we don't know yet. Can't afford to lose these players.

If we somehow manage to get him in a Bellchambers deal...

Would absolutely give up TBC to get him after watching todays game (+ some more of his this year). Its rumoured that Richmond is the other team that is really keen on him atm, if we put TBC on the table I don't know if there is anything they could pony up to challenge that.

I have also heard that the tigers are deep into Adams & For good reason the kid is an absolute hard nut gun & Will fit perfectly into our young midfield.

what we would give up for him , Has to be our 1st round pick and with the chance that Essendon will lose their selections and Adelaide already exempt from the draft - Could be a top 10 pick

I think that would be your best chance. I would assume that GWS has a strong preference to best 22 players over picks though. I heard that you lot had put Astbury's name on the trade table

I think that both Astbury & Griffiths will be available for trade this year with the depth of players coming through - They can be afforded to be traded

Is Griffiths delisting material or more just put the feelers out and see what happens? I think he's a decent enough prospect, just hasn't really found a niche.

If he's on the scrapheap we could do a hell of a lot worse than pick him up for depth at both ends as a DFA or with a 4th-5th rounder.

Certainly wont be delisted and will be kept for another 1-2 years but may be traded depending on the player we are after or with the amount of teams needing kpp and this years draft having very little to offer after boyd - May just get something we need for him

No sure if this is the right thread to put it in but IF we lost our draft picks I don't think it is all that bad!!

Our list is in pretty decent shape, we would lose the opportunity to pick up 2 decent draft picks but whats to say we can't trade into the first two rounds via a Tom Bellchambers or other packaged deals done.

We have many players worth persisting with, a 3rd year developed Kavanagh is just about worth a 1st round draft pick anyways, a 2nd year Joe Daniher likewise. Again, whats to say we don't have a breakout guy like a Will Hams or a Lauchlan Dalgleish come and burst out of the blocks?

Just putting some perspective on the current status of of our list

(In saying that, I DO NOT want us to lose ANY draft picks for the long term success' of our great football club)

Completely agree, Keane will have to earn his money, but I don't think it will cripple us as it did Carlton.

1 because we won't be barred from an entire draft.

2 because we'll probably have access to delisted free agents, maybe even regular free agents.

If it was one draft (1st and 2nd rounders) or play finals, I'd play finals, it's a massive f u to the AFL and the players deserve every bit of it.
