My point is that the lack of pressure from GWS would make anyone look like a superstar in that game.

Even his 360 was in Slow motion and if you look at the footage he was about 2 meters away from the gws player.

Don't get me wrong...it's a great footy story and kudos to Richmond and him but it's not a "bash the eagles recruiters moment" story.

He's obviously not going to dominate every game like that, but you don't think that if he was in our midfield behind Yeo, Shuey, Gaff etc etc he wouldn't have similar games where he got off the chain like that? We've got absolutely no midfield depth, there's not a single midfielder in our WAFL team right now who could do what Pickett did at AFL level and we could have had him on our list at the cost of not having Josh Smith or McInnes.

Agree with you Keys on not being a huge positional list need , however I see him as a better option than some currently on our list.

Reid's kicking accuracy worries me, he misses some easy ones and jails some freaky ones.
At the next level he won't be a big possession winner and will need to maximise his opportunities, not sure he is capable of that.

The main thing that puts me off Reid is that HT has been banging on about us drafting him for last few months.
But apart from that he reminds me a bit like an Ashton Hams type.

We've done some great recruiting of small forwards and key forwards, but we need some damn midfielders.
With our lack of high picks we need to be smarter about how we get some, taking someone like Pickett would have been a good move.
The club is not infallable, I mean we got knocked out in the second week of finals ffs, winning a GF doesn't excuse them from criticism for the next 5 years.
Or do you disagree that our midfield could use a top-up?

I liked him in his draft year but I haven't seen him play since (looks like it's because he's barely played), why has he been no good?

Injury mostly Lisfranc injury at Giants hurt his knee in preseason December 18. Never really got going at GWS and Carlton. Homesick too apparently.

I'm normally dead against recycling other teams delistings but I did really liked the look of him before he was drafted.

True or the West Coast reserves can pick him up if we don't put him on the senior list. I would suggest that he is a better pick up than Riach and Bines were.

Absolutely.
Our midfield needs a top up and Kelly is the immediate get. This is why I'd give up 2 first rounders as he releases pressure off gaff to play his natural game and yeo Shuey get a chop out.
We need to add some new dimensions to our midfield.
Rioli was going to be used more there until he fooked up.
I just don't think banking on a once in 80 years fairy tale is what our club needs to look for.
