They should squeeze out Josh Kelly if that’s the case. They started with a ridiculous surplus of KPFs but after Boyd, McCarthy, Lobb and Patton leaving they simply can’t afford to lose Cameron.

Kelly is class but he must be weighing down their salary cap considerably and he apparently has that get out clause

Don't pretend Gaff's kicking playing inside was acceptable. I was seriously pi**ed off with it at stages, just hack kicks around the corner. He isn't an inside player.

Like this was just Gaff? We saw a similar hack around the corner regularly from Sheed and Yeo too. Hopefully it wasn't part of the gameplan to try to move it forward quickly, cos it regularly led to turnovers.

That is true but at least Yeo and Sheed have some size about them and can handle the inside grunt work. The point is we need to free Gaff up to play his best and preferred role, on a wing. Not plugging holes on the inside with a player who is elite on the outside.

Peoples thoughts on Butler?

Should Rioli miss a year or more and Petro gets traded he could be a very handy role player and not cost a lot if anything. Potential de-listed FA even.

Premiership player, quick, good defensively and can find the goals. A nice depth player IMO.

Why the petrol trade talk. I would be pissed if we traded him. There is no need to trade him and who knows what his ceiling could be. I thought he has had a good start with the eagles. Out of all the small players we have picked up in the last few years, he is one of the few shining lights I beleive.
