Have you ever stopped to think there might have been other player(s) involved?
Absolutely. I don't know for sure but it wouldn't surprise me given Perts comments and the afl cover ups. There were rumoured to be 4 players in the group at the time, all Queenslanders but the other 2 were from different clubs. Bell from Carlton and I don't know who else were the others but they obviously didn't find themselves in the same position as Keefe and Thomas

shoulda gone balic out of those in hindsight
Was touted to go first round. Bonner wouldn't be bad on the HBF either.

I'm happy to give Sier a bit more time to have a shot at it. Would like to see him play at least 10 games in a row. If that means he goes back on the rookie list so be it.

What a waste of a draft pick......
Yeah but not as much a waste as Shaz, Freeman and Degoey at this point in time.

Really hope Shaz and Degoey come good otherwise we're in the same failed recruiting trough Melbourne were in.

Degoey kicked a nice goal but his performance did not inspire me against the blues. Not very effective as a forward in my opinion, ran like Mayne, the legs were turning but didn't go very far very fast compared to the opposition.

Would rather see him get time in the middle with Pendles and Adams to prove his worth getting the ball out to Wells Aish Sidey and Whe running by.

Otherise he's a bigger bust than Sier.

De Goey was not a waste imo, can not throw him in the same boat as someone like Freeman

Agreed not yet no. But he needs to get in he middle to show his worth. Not much point him dominating in the middle in the vfl and then being starved of the play in our forward 50. I think he needs to get in the thick of it to develop and prove himself

Spoke to a friend who's wife works in the media, radio form, today and she mentioned that according to those in the SA footy media, the Port Adelaide FC are having a huge tilt at Grundy, and that some believe he will head home at seasons end. If this is the case, l would be absoulutely devastated!!

We keep picking up these hard nut midfielders like degoey (somewhat), adams and levi. they all play the same role, and with the stacked midfield we have Buckley is forced to play players up forward or down back, not their natural positions. We need solid bookends if we are ever going to be a serious threat in the competition.

Moore will get there one day and Reid and howe are excellent in my opinion. It is the forward line where we have our problems. Its not like we are not creating chances, its the delivery to our forwards and the lack of skill up top (cox being a prime example). Recruiting a solid key forward, like a jonothan Patton would be the next step for the club.

If l was to bet on whether Grundy will go or stay, what l have heard, l would put my money on him leaving. I believe he is studying at La Trobe uni now, but will look to transfer his course to a uni in SA. If this is the case, l would be asking for Trengrove.
