If Kelly leaves Adelaide to come back to Melbourne he will not be going to StKilda.
Jake Levers father met with Collingwood this week, just saying.
The Asian guy from the bulldogs (forgot his name CBF looking it up) had a tour of our club during the season last year and he didn't come to us..... but then again I don't recall reading if his dad or anyone from his extended family met with us either so take that with a grain of salt

Is this Devon Smith?? We need to stop trading first round picks!
I understand this point of view, but if GWS would trade Hopper and Smith for our first, we would be getting 2 quality players, both first round picks, and both close to our age profile, for the price of a first rounder. As I tried to say (badly :drunk: or not at all) in my post, we would need to improve our forward line as a priority, but these guys would improve us now, where a Pick 6 KPF might take 2 years, might take 4, might never happen.

If we were in a position where we had players of value wanting to leave and/or multiple picks high in the draft I would agree - go to the draft, bring a group through together. But we're not - we have one fairly high pick and then nothing 'til the third round and no players of any great value coming out of contract or seeming tradeable. If Grundy or similar requested a move and we landed a couple of high picks for him I would agree to go to the draft.

If his dad is his manager then pass. CBF going through another Cloke situation.
I'm not sure if his father is his manager but I was told that his father was visiting the club this week. Not sure if its to get a feel for the club as apposed to doing a deal, but I do know he is keen on maximising his sons finances.

Just been said in the D&T board thread that we've offered Lever a million a year, don't know how many years. Hope it's not true...
It sound like way too much for a CHB but then again it all depends on how many years and what the TPP looks like moving forward.

I think he is an amazing young player, but not worth that sort of money.
Why are people so obsessed with what we pay our players?

My theory is smarter people than me do our Clubs finances.

When our Club gets back into the Pub business then I will be pissed off......until then let them do their job.

Lever is an Elite talent...........I heard campbell023 say that a couple times. :p

IMO his real worth would be around 550kpa, but he's manufacturing a bidding war to up his price, there's nothing wrong with that what so ever but we should be smart enough to see that, IMO he doesn't even fill an urgent need on our list.
