He's a really good talent, but do you want money to be the reason he chooses Collingwood? We need to axe the mercenary culture, not expand it.
While this is true you also need to take steps forward and get better results to get players to want to come to the club. Sometimes that means targeting players with big money. Kind of a catch 22

Lol people using aish and broomhead as some sort of kicker in trades?

We wouldn't get shit for either. Dreaming of you think any club would even want them
Perhaps, but I think they would be decent sweetners. They are SA boys with pretty big reputations from under 18 level. Especially Aish who has a long family history in SA. With a pick 6, it would have to come close. I think it's better than what most sides could offer.

Remember, Adelaide don't have a top 10 pick in their current best 22 (I've taken out Milera because I think he drops out when Betts is back). So if they had pick 6 and Aish (former pick 7), I reckon they'd have a think.

he spent a fair bit of time on Keath and got beat. he cant jump and get any separation.
His opponent for the majority of the match was Talia and he did all he could whilst up against him. Time spent on Keath was capitalised on with the goal he kicked in the last. Your critique remains harsh.

I think those days are gone due to large contracts and FA. It's just the way it is unfortunately and it's going to probably get worse.

I really rate Lever but part of me thinks he shouldn't be our primary target... maybe we're being opportunistic with the Crows wanting one of our South Aussies. I just think on the priority order our forward talls and half back run need more attention than our back talls.

Now a Lever + McGovern combo I would give a very high price for.

What do you call a very high price? Like a 2017 and also a 2018 first round pick, plus a player?

That would depend on the player but Lever is worth an early first rounder and McGovern a late first rounder so perhaps the two first round picks you're suggesting or our first, future second, Aish and Broomhead.

He struggles to get separation on the lead and ends up wrestling. He also cant jump. He sounds like the bloke we had last year.

Crows seem to need quality mids, Pies need quality talls.

Interested in people's thoughts on a hypothetical of JDG for Lever? Which team would need to sweeten the deal or is it around the mark?

Straight swap. But no. As we dont need to trade jdg. No.

Plays like a ruckman, moves like a ruckman, is a ruckman. Do not want.
I would not mind us Picking Hayes at Pick 6. Because Brander might be Gone and unless we take someone like Callum Coleman-Jones higher then he is Rated:

Also would not mind Jaiyden Stephenson. 188-190cm with Pace and not bad user of the Ball and Can Kick a Goal

How many times do you have to be told we don't have a second pick?
Chill mr condescending.

I had forgot we traded WHE for this years rather than last years.

Doesn't really change the opinion on naughton. Nor does it necessarily rule us out of getting hold of one through the trade period as per snoops post.

Pick 6 on Hayes is a waste. He's not a Peter Wright who's a legitimate key forward who can ruck, he's a ruck who is handy resting forward. Recruit him and he'll be asking for a trade in 2 years because he's not getting a game with Grundy in the team.

Fair Enough. I put 2 Prospects that could go Pick 6 for us

Then who would you like us to take at Pick 6?

One of Fogarty or Brander will still be there imo.
Brisbane will take a goal kicking mid - Rayner
North will be expecting another lean year in 2018 and wait for one of the King twins. They're also the worst clearance team in the league - LDU
Carlton already have 3 developing KPF prospects in addition to Silvagni next year. Need outside class, especially if Gibbs departs - Stephenson (I know he plays more forward, but I see him as developing in to a Daisy/WHE type winger)
Gold Coast will take a mid. Cerra/Dow.
Freo will jump on Brander imo.
We grab Fogarty.

Lol ok. Every person over rated pies players. They are both VFL players ATM. Wouldn't get squat for them.

I say Brander could be gone. Forgaty is a Intresting one. Performace has not lived up to the Pre-Season Hype and Injured for rest of the Season.

Could someone take him Early like the Dogs did with Stringer or does he Fall.

Not 100% Sold on Fogarty

I would hope that you'd consider that this has more to do with leading patterns of a guy that's been back in a forward role for a month than agility. Reid has no issues with closing speed in defense. Judging on one game is just wrong and you had two opportunities to soften your POV given the quality of his opponent so I won't bother taking the discussion further.

Stringer was pick 5 mate, taking Fogarty with pick 6 is taking him early after the year he's had.

He showed enough last year that I'm still on board with him, particularly given he's been battling with injury all year but still managed to be competitive.
