He didn't look comfortable at all did he especially considering that's what we really need him for, but in fairness Daniher will do that to most KPD's.

What did you think of my mate up the other end? Kicked 3, had 8 score involvements from just 10 possessions and looked real threatening deep I50.
He is an opportunist 3rd tall - McGovern, goes cold for long periods and then bobs up (his 1st *mark* and goal was a defenders spoil into his hands so bit of a lucky freebie, result of poor umpiring). Overall had a good game clubs need these types and also similar opportunistic small fwds that crumb another which type we lack in the 22 (issue is buckley prefers dour pressure fwds in this role over goal kickers who pressure and create).

Never said he was a bad player Sco if that is what you are thinking? I know he has talent just seems to be inconsistent in output.

As with Lever for the right price (pick or player) I'd be happy to bring him in bring him. If we did, I'd look to move a trade for Fasolo to a WA team. Or we will have too many similar types that are lead up/opportunist fwd types and still lacking those natural crumbers Kirby/Daicos.

I don't think he is worth a first round/top 10 pick and is not a KPF which is our need (especially long term). B.Reids body's to unreliable and realistically if we are going to the Draft (assuming *big fish trade* falls through) it will take 4 years for them to come on and if that trade is *on* we are going to need that top 6/7 pick anyway.

I don't see the club putting Sideass on the table as much as he seems to be peoples *ideal* trade bait to acquire that other *1st rounder* (which he would land) to pull off these multi trades. Essendon might be interested I know they have tried in the past again though I think its a poor move as he is much loved and provides things the team lacks.

Rory Atkins off HB/Wing would also be nice not bad player for a pick in the 80s, I'm hoping Ramsey can get to a similar level/type player.

I see the reasoning behind wanting him just not at the price suggested in the other thread.

What would people think of Jack Martin's trade value? IMO, he's a bit of an enigma that's just in the wrong environment. In a blue collar team I think he would add enormous value, but at the Suns he's cream when they need cake. He has smarts, skills and talent coming out the wazoo so could be an intriguing option.
He is pure class. Light frame but hard at it as well. Suns cant afford to lose him

IMO the suns have been right for the picking for years but no clubs have actively targeted their list (until last year) everyone has a hard on for disgruntled GWS players likely due to better development and set up at GWS.

Think there would definitely be untapped talents that are poachable.

Lever was lucky he didn't have a real bag kicked on him. Looked poor in the 1v1's.
McGovern is a cheaper better option for us.. with you there.
The mooted deal to get Mcgovern was basically a first rounder, McGovern has his own set of question marks so not at that price point. imo. I'd rather take our top 10 pick to the draft will land a better player then the Gov just need patience for the pay off.

Mcgovern like Lever has a price point at which we need to walk away. No need to act desperately.

Needs to put some serious gym time and protein into his body. 69kg @6'1 is wayyyy under his even ideal BMI let alone a body for AFL footy.

Has a lot of talent and be a nice pick up would require our 1st rounder but Id be happy to pay it.

Be a very early first rounder, top 5 at least. I really rate him. Great in the air, beautiful kick. In a better side he would be awesome

Only 69kg? That cant be right. Not sure he can add much bulk to his frame, always going to be that wirey type

Yes they said it in the game over the weekend that he is 69kg and 6 foot 1 and his build looks every bit of it being accurate.

Even "wirey" types with the right training and diet can get bigger and stronger. It's a myth they can't just takes time, correct training for their goal (mass) and correct diet.

Yup has loads of talent but I think this years 1st rounder being pick 6 - 8 would be in the ball park definitely hasn't come on like they hoped and has lost a bit of currency since his drafting in the mini draft imo.
Would address some of that pacey skills we lack across the 22 but still leave us with KPP dearth. So that means further trades.

Don't run off that quickly, we've got plenty of other players if you're shopping early 2nd round draft picks...

Just our luck, the only players people are willing to trade 2nd round picks for are unrestricted free agents:(
He's bang on what we need to be truthful. Our midfield is bare-bones with some promising youngsters coming through but not many mature bodies to protect them. We got Jarryd Lyons last year. Ideally JT would be a similar sort of acquisition. A more mature body that can add to the squad for the next five years.

I have always liked him though. The Pies would be mad to let him go IMO. Even with the depth they have through there.

No argument there. I want us to go to the draft too.. but the point of my post was if it came to Lever or McGovern I'd go McGovern... He's cheaper and we know he plays well forward.

Sometimes plays well forward...sometimes. Very inconsistent from quarter to quarter and game to game. Gone doughnuts in 4 of his games this year. 1 goal only in 2 as well. He has talent but it is very hot and cod.
