I think those deals are viable and the 22 you listed is pretty close to bang on.

However I would line up as
FB: Howe, Dunn, Crisp
HB: Scharenberg, Lever, Langdon
C: Maynard, Pendlebury, Treloar
HF: WHE, Darling, Elliot
FF: Fasolo, Moore, Reid
R: Grundy, De Goey, Adams
Int: Kirby, Goldsack, Thomas, Greenwood

Dunn has shown us no reason to really not have him as best 22 (plus with Goldy on the bench backing up) and I think a forward structure lining up as Reid, Moore and Darling will stretch a lot of defenses as it means one is packing up the third/forth defender. Having a taller forward line means I put Kirby in over Aish as it should result in more lose ball at ground level for a genuine goal sneak forward like Kirby to feed of.
No sidebottom lol

Pies need one big forward to go with Moore

WHE in my opinion needs be played as a forward, he can be that medium sized defensive forward, the game is going down the path of more mobile smaller forward lines.

Pies are going to move heaven and earth to get Lynch, this has been in the works for 3 years.

Fasolo Lynch WHE

Kirby Moore Elliot
Lynch signed for two years. Should take him til the end of 2018. Whatever Collingwood had been working on didn't work because he signed mid work. That work?

I also believe when Lynch signed he thought the GC would be challenging by 2018. So we should go again and as I have posted previously make him an offer he can't refuse.

For a trade to happen where Lynch comes to Collingwood it would have include two top 10 - 12 players from us.

De Goey and a first round pick would be a start but GC won't accept that, we would have to give a lot more. I wish Josh Thomas was ok and he had currency so we could include him in a trade for Lynch.

JDG and a first round pick would be plenty.

Might be 2 1st Rounders and De Goey and even Thomas

When you are Trading for someone like Lynch/Judd you have to pay a Massive Price.

I think we where better off NOT Getting Judd
Lynch is not even close to being in the same league as Judd. Judd was a Brownlow winning, norm smith winning, dual AA premiership captain when he was traded.

Lynch has 1x AA under his belt. He is a co-captain, but there's no evidence that he's a good one given where his club is at. He hasn't even won a Coleman medal yet.

Judd was the most expensive trade in history. He and Lynch shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence when it comes to trade value.

Though KPF have lot Higher Trade Value and Suns would want a Huge Trade to get him.

Only chance team really has of Getting Lynch would be Thru Free Agency

Geez, I hope those in charge have had a *rethink* on the whole Degoey for sale of last trade period.

Agree Pick 6/7 plus JDG would get it done.

But I'd rather we did it another way if possible, Degoey is going to have a great year when he finally plays major midfield minutes consistently game to game and week to week.

Might be 2 1st Rounders and De Goey and even Thomas
Sounds more like fantasy trading game, then what they would actually get.

Here is waht we likely would be looking at IMO if Lynch nominated a trade to us:

GC win outcomes:

1st round plus quality youngish player.

2017 and 2018 firsts rounders.

Balanced trade:

1 first round, 2nd round and a fringe steak knives (Keeffe or Thomas a possibility), akin to Beams deal.

1st rounder and player like a Fasolo (gets him out of the limelight of Vic/AFL/Pies centric area) gives GC a 100 gamer capable of 30-40 goals in a position they don't have a lot of talent in.

Pies favourable:

1st rounder and 2018 2nd rounder.

1st and Bris 3rd rounder 2017.

Pies bend them over trade and wont happen but none the less:

1st rounder.

Mate, Carlton traded a top 3 pick and freaking Kennedy, who was the previous years pick 3 and a KPF to boot in addition to their second rounder for Judd.

There is literally no uncontracted player available in the league right now who would command even close to that kind of deal, regardless of playing position. The only player I can think of league wide who would be worth that trade is GAJ in his prime when he went to WC.

Agreed. Wouldn't be trading JDG now without it being a ludicrous offer. He's the future of our midfield and offers a unique mixture of grunt and class that's rare to find.

Other problem with trying to trade with GC is their apparent preference for ready-made players rather than picks (their stated preference during the last trade period). Add to this, the difficulty of convincing players to move up there and trades seem tough to complete with them while players still have veto rights..

So, if Cameron is really keen on going to Qld, as rumoured, and we're already keen on Lever coming to us, who and what picks might be sorted around the bones of this:

GC gets Cameron plus ?
Crows get ?
Pies get Lynch and Lever

PS I understand that it's very hard to pull off these types of trades - just hypothetically.

Having already been linked to Close from Brisbane which doesn't feel me with much excitement, nor did it appear to excite anyone else much either, another Brisbane KPF has said to be looking to leave the club. Jono Freeman is one who seems surplus to requirements at the Lions and I think has shown a fair bit more than Close. Has had quite a few injuries in the past but has kicked 16 goals from his 14 games and is only ~22/23. Would he deemed more worthy of throwing a late pick at rather than Close???

Not really. I'm a no to both unless we nab a T Lynch or similar because we need difference makers in our forward third and neither offer that.

Both would be a good fit for a club like Richmond. They need the depth more than we do, but are coming from a stronger base in regards to trade currency (to land a high end target) and ladder position.

Also agreed. It would be cutting off our nose to spite our face. You dont trade your future for your future. Degoey is the kind of player we want playing alongside a Lynch type. I hope we dont start tradeing our best kids. That would be a disaster.
