We are likely to be bottom 4 next year and people are saying no to Stringer lol. A young player who has kicked over 40 goals twice and played in a premiership.

I would taken him in a heartbeat.
I dont think we will be bottom 4.

Also i dont think we are even in the running for Stringer. From what i have read its between Geelong, Essendon and North

What is the right price for a talented, lazy fat **** with no team ethic or discipline?
I'll do it for a can of coke and a hot pie.

But just letting you know.... I'm not talented.

Is now officially seeking a trade (source Luke Beveridge).

Any interest? I can see a spot for him at the right price.
There will be a bidding war for his services. Unless he nominates us I wouldn't bother going after him the price will be too steep to pay.

Bring in our own and develop them.

Im not in the go after Lever boat as he isnt a kpd. Stringers attitude is garbage.

We trade Fas hopefully we pick up Menzel for nothing.

Need to trade picks and players like Smith, Aish, Broomhead, Fas, Greenwood etc. To bring in Tomlinson and picks good enough to pick up Nicholas Coffield and Ed Richards. Want us to use 6 on Noah Balta.

What currency do we actually have this year? It seems everyone wants to stay apart from a chance Fas is heading home. And if that's the case, you take someone like Elliott off the table if he even was on it to begin with.

So apart from guys like Smith, Thomas if a QLD teams request them or guys like Aish, Schaz and our first round picks, we don't have a lot to deal with.

Although, if Gold Coast asked for Sidebottom, I'd test those waters for sure, obviously trying to get Lynch back the other way in some sort of trade.

But the point is, if we use pick 6 in a trade, there's no way of us getting back into the first round to get a Balta, Brander, Coffield or whoever we like next week.

On Jock and Journo, Scott Pendlebury said that Fasolo loves Melbourne and is unlikely to head west. Plus in the Age Fasolo said he loved the coaches and his team mates. So why would he leave. I hope he stays.
yeah and he stayed in melbourne during the year when he had the time off.

Media grabbing hold of bigfooty innuendo again ??

IMO, if we're bottom 4 without Stringer that provides more incentive not to go for him. Clubs need to understand we're they're at and a bottom 4 quality team can't afford to be looking at taking up a big chunk of their salary cap on a guy with baggage.

The comparison I'd make is Rockliff. He seems to have matured in the past 12 months, but there would obviously be some doubt around what he brings to the table outside his on field exploits. He can play though! The difference between him and Stringer is that as a FA you can create genuine value by bringing him in and trading out a mid. With Stringer that value isn't as obvious because you aren't getting any change out of a top 10 pick at basically the same price as Rockliff $'s wise.

Onfield with Stringer you're getting that forward brilliance that we've been missing since Dids departed. He's not an Elliott style mark and goal ground level forward because on sheer talent he can do it all, but how's his workrate stack up? What are his desire indicators like? Does he improve the club culture? Is he invested in learning/ growing/ sacrificing his game or is it all me me me?

Personally I think the Dogs put him in the too hard basket and are looking to cash in while they still can. Given how precariously placed we are I think it's best to allow the likes of Melbourne, Geelong or the Bombers to have a crack. Guys the quality of Stringer pop up on the trade table every year so let's sit tight for now and look for organic growth from within the group.

He's much more valuable to us than whatever we are going to get in a trade.

He's overseas with everyone ATM and looks like they are all having a wicked time. I think he's more likely to stay.

There must be a bigger issue with Stringer than what the Bulldogs are letting on. It is very rare for a coach to talk so aggressively about his plans to move a player on. There's not even a small hint from Beveridge that he'd be willing to keep him at the club.

I think comments from the captain and his popularity within the group are a poor guide to his future.

Flipping it around Pendles is hardly going to say he hates it in Melbourne and is gone. The travels are also every possibility of being a send off ala Beams time in Bali. We all remember the McCarthy stuff on Insta when Barrett (from memory) dropped that he wanted out?

My hope is that Collingwood get a good outcome. Whether that's him staying or not IDK.
