Would it be possible that the environment in Brisbane was a huge factor in Schache's form and if he moved back to Melbourne being closer to home could give him a renewed enthusiasm. Surely we can't judge him entirely on his last season.

Gaff and Schache and we are meant to have picks left in the draft? That's not happening.
Whys that ? Ramsay rumoured to be traded , Fasolo Rumoured to be traded. plus who really knows what others Greenwood has been suggested. I think its fantastic that there doesn't seem to be much info leaking from the club. It could be a very interesting trade period. The only concern I have is players such as Mayne , Blair and Oxley are still contracted but whats done is done lets now judge on what can be done going forward.

6 & 36 for Schache and 18

Fasolo and 2nd Round from Gold Coast for Gaff

Greenwood for Gold coast 2nd round

Ramsay for 2nd Rounder

We lose 6 , 36 , Fasolo , Greenwood , Ramsay

We gain Schache , 18 , Gaff

What is the Oxley story?

There always seems an under current about him?

But nobody says much more than that.

I just go for the simple, he's not a best 22 player or even a best 32, hence its time to be moved on. Contract matter is an issue ofcourse.
Yeah, same. I have heard people suggest he is a bad influence and that he and Sidebottom are buddies but nothing more than that. I can't see why he would remain on our list after soon long, unless there is more to the story...

Possibly....or maybe he is just an average player. There are a number of players picked at 2 that did not do much or if the draft was done retrospectively would not have been picked in the top 20. Here are some Pick 2's: Steven Sims, James Cook, Nathan Chapman, Matthew Croft, Andrew Walker, Scott Gumbleton, Jack Trengove, Jono O'Rourke

Thats a massive slap of perspective lol So then you need to forget at what pick he was taken and judge purely on comparison with what is available which surely the club would do anyway, once drafted who cares at what pick you were taken . Dane Swan , James Hird

Didn't he have pretty extensive surgery this year and miss the majority due to injury or was it he wasn't good enough.

If you are comparing him to Aish you have no clue. If Schache leaves it will be to come home to family and friends Aish just chased opportunity and money at Collingwood. There is a lot going on behind the scenes for Josh Schache but I am confident in Melbourne he can make it

He still holds the goal kicking record for the under 18 nationals no way we could get anyone who has achieved similar at 6

Gaff and Schache will cost more than that imo. No way do you get 2nd rounders for Greenwood and Ramsay. If those trades happen would be a steal for us.

Probably right, just looked at it as giving up 6 and 2 best 22 players as well as a player with talent. I thought the return for the loss was actually pretty even.

I think Brisbane would want pick 6 alone for Schache. Perhaps a later pick coming back our way considering they used pick 2 on him when drafted.

I’ve stated before Brisbane are going to play hardball with Schache imo, I’d say it’s pick 6 or don’t worry about it, we’ll keep him. The other trades are just not very appealing to west coast and GC. They are heavily in our favour. Gaff doesn’t equal Fasolo and a second rounder. They would want a top 10 pick. Ramsey doesn’t even come close to a 2nd rounder, he’d be 4th round at best. And I doubt GC would be after Greenwood either, I know they have plenty of 2nd rounders but that doesn’t mean they are just going to give one up for an older player who is on the fringe of our list.

I’m all for spitballing trade scenarios but can we please maybe have a think first what would you do if you’re in the other teams shoes?

They seem to be BF rumours without ever being substantiated. The fact that he is still at the club as a very borderline talent makes it unlikely he is a bad influence around the club. Borderline talent and bad influence should equal delist and pay out.

6 and 36 for Schache and 18 would be possible imo because 18 is likely to be eaten by a bid on Ballenden and 36 gives them the points for it. It’s not a deal I’m hugely enamoured with though.

Just to clear something up this is purely your opinion isn't it ? you seem to write as if you know exactly whats going to happen , which you do not.

You should of conducted the club review
