Is Saad any good?

I presume getting him will allow old mate Maynard to move in to the midfield. He's gunna be a brute.
Very good, one of the best small defenders.
Rare combination of ability to defend 1v1 while also provide run from half back. Basically everything we wanted Marley to be

Don't think it's entirely unrealistic to have a 'wishlist' of either desirable or potential targets as contingencies, I don't think we'd be confident of landing each one but "1 of the 3" is not that fanciful.

Also would rather pass over Schache entirely put our eggs in a basket for Lynch. Kid seems like a bit of a shit, and hasn't shown anything. I'd rather go for proven talent instead of sinking salary cap into an unknown quality.

We haven't landed a major KPF since...I don't even know who? The idea of getting either Cameron or Lynch has me hitting the underside of my desk.
It's one thing to have a wish-list and to think it would be nice to have 1 of 3, but you can't practically approach things in that way. It's not quite like the guy who is seen to be working on some bird on the dance floor all night and then when the lights come on and she leaves to then go and ask some other hotty for a snog, but it's got some apt lessons.

A Jeremy Cameron isn't going to hang around while we're trying to make it happen with Lynch. You've got to show you're serious to get a potential player to come across and that doesn't happen by trying to court a bunch at once.

Lynch is our target Old Spice he has been for two years now.

The Patton & Cameron second and third option is news to me...........sounds like BS actually.
I would love JezCam, possibly more than Lynch, but I agree, you've got to target someone some distance out and gouge away.

Finally being linked to a player who actually fills a desperate need.
Saad can break lines off half back, he can create and is normally a neat ball user.

A big tick from me to get him.
Lever, Schache and Lynch all fill desperate needs but the chances of getting any off them is next to 0

Ok... Can y'all take your petty squabble somewhere else? Just trying to read info re Saad and it is scattered amongst a dozen+ posts of irrelevant "you're wrong" "no, you're wrong" posts about Stringer. Maybe start another thread called "is Stringer the worst?" and have a poll. But leave this thread for trade and free agency stuff.

There's an article in the HS saying we are circling him......not much on here other then the general consensus being that we should be going hard at him.

Loved it when I saw an article on FB saying we're into Saad.

Don't understand whichever poster said for Greenwood, Oxley and pick 36 for him.

He's a small defender who finished 10th in the b&f of the team that finished 16th. He was also drafted through the rookie draft.

Pick 36 should do it alone surely.

I rate him, but a home sick bloke from a lowly club that had a semi-ok year doesn't require that much currency changing hands, surely.

The last 4 pages have contained a debate regarding how morally / ethically wrong his 'cheat-on-pregnant-wife-with-a-17-year-old' actions were. We (Collingwood) are not in to him any longer, latest report is. Dunno what thread you're reading if you've missed that?

Do you know where he's at RE contract? As in, how much time he has left on it?
I know very little about him.
