If we're talking costs I wouldn't pay: that would be Lynch. We already have a player who projects as a star KPF, we don't need another, just a solid player to pair with him.

The cost is going to be massive in salary (much more than Lever) and I'm sure we'll also need to pay two first round picks, and late or mid picks won't suffice. We'd have to give up our 2018 first and 2019 for Lynch. He's an RFA and Suns won't just take the compensation, unless I'm missing something.

Sorry guys just got back from O/S yesterday, so have spent today sleeping and unpacking, so havent had a chance to go through our draft / trade prospects. I saw one Melbourne tosser on here saying we have been ruled out of the Lever chase, which l find hard to believe. Anything of note for us?

You do realise that we wouldn't have necessarily taken the exact same player that was taken by the team who had our draft pick.

For example:

2015 - Could have taken Charlie Curnow
2016 - Could have taken Logue, Brodie, Bowes, Florent, Powell-Pepper, Witherden

Our spine would be set for 10 years.

McLarty
Logue
Adams
Curnow
Moore
Except we probably would’ve picked two sub 180cm slow midfielders who can’t hit a target.

I see with Saad, people on here are keen to get but we are not mentioned as a club chasing him?
I know we were 1 of 7 clubs to nominate Dom Barry, the ex- Demon, for the SA combine. He plays a similiar game of a run and carry nature, with pace and clean disposal.

The stories mentioning Schache being available say he’s worth a late 1st rd pick. If you’re the Lions you would have to be filthy your pick 2 has turned into pick 18 in 2yrs.

But in that scenario - 6 + 36 to Lions for 12 + 18, 18 used for Schache. Has his issues at the moment but worth a punt for pick 18.

Wasn't he on the Dees List a Few Years Back?

Really looking forward to the next fortnight.

This trade period will be make or break for some clubs.

Saints and Dees see themselves in same premiership window as the last two premiers (Dogs & Tigers) who are not exactly powerhouses, you'd expect they will go hard. Word is Saints looking at Dylan Shiel (2 x first round picks and $$$).

Apparently Chris Scott has told up to 10 Geelong players at their exit interviews to start looking for other clubs.

North have plenty of cash but are as popular as a lephers colony.

Gold Coast are coach less at the wrong time of the season.

Buckley is on a very fortunate 2 year deal to turn things around. We need to be aggressive but smart about the way we do business this period.

Expect more twists and turns that an Alfred Hitchcock thriller by the time this year's trade period closes.

Grab your popcorn and a front row seat people!!!!

don't remember him... How old is he?
if we could add a couple of this type (small fast and/or skilful defenders) cheaply - Saad, Crozier, Ed Richards or this fellow etc, it would change the whole dynamic of our backline... for the better I think
