I'm not sold on May for the following reasons:
1. He is contracted and GC are losing Lynch, their other co-captain. This means we will have to pay steeply for May in order to secure him, rather than waiting a year and assessing whether he is still keen to move and picking him up for free
2. Although May is a good player, Dunn has shown that there is plenty of value in drafting or trading for experienced, big defenders who are capable of locking down an opponent. Our resources in my opinion would be better spent on continuing to inject pace into the midfield and forward line, or finding a genuine offensive weapon capable of stretching an opposition's defence and providing a mobile third target (i.e. Gunston).
Of the players who are available, M McGovern would fit the bill in relation to the forwards, Billings/Lonie for the mid/forward combination, and Shiel for the pure midfielder
