C'mon guys - does anyone really think the Giants are gonna be trying to move Cameron? Unless we throw in a godfather offer to them, which we don't really have available - I doub't he's going while he has 2 more years on his deal.
I would absolutely love him, and rate him above Tom Lynch, but I think the asking price would be too high (at least Moore and our 1st rounder - probably with something else thrown in).

If they are going for a salary dump, this is not the kind of guy you actively decide to move on (even at $1m-ish/yr).
If they are in a salary crisis, its those 2nd and 3rd tier guys they will try to move, not their top guys. (I reckon they would rather trade out Patton for close to nothing, than trade out Cameron for an average deal).

Trouble with the 2nd and 3rd tier guys is that they need to be replaced with other 2nd and 3rd tier guys on similar coin and may not save much. Moving on a guy who's being overpaid relative to his teammates would accomplish an enormous amount in terms of TPP space vs playing with the list in multiple other areas. Obviously it ain't all that simple but my point is I think we can overestimate the amount to be saved by moving along low end players that need to be replaced .

I'd be going after guys who are deserving of a payrise , but won't be able to receive one from GWS. Eg. Himmelburg.

Is Ricky Nixon reliable with his trade news at all? He said on Twitter last night it's not looking good for us in terms of the trade period this year.
This is the guys who a couple of months ago, tweeted that he’d seen Ed and Tom Lynch together at Portsea pub and then posted a cropped photo of Tom as ‘proof’. Photo turned out to be one taken of Tom and the pub owner taken weeks earlier. Fair to say he’s not worth listening to.

Sounds like he is in fine form. Last week he did work experience as a lawyer - when he decided to represent himself in the Magistrates' Court. Ended up being ejected by six security guards. No reason not to rely on him?

I have a feeling Geelong may go hard for Moore. They need another forward to assist Hawkins, or they could use Moore down back and release Taylor or Henderson as permanent forwards. Wouldn't be surprised if the Cats throw their hat in the ring for him. What would we want from them in return as just their first round pick may not suffice?

Given the pub has been shut since Easter, not sure even Ricky would have tried that one on.

Nixon’s twitter mentioning Moore to St Kilda, what do they even have to give us? Why do they want another player that our medical staff have ruined their hamstrings?

Best case for us is

Pick 4 to Sydney for Hannebery and 13 Pick 13 for Moore
13 and next years 3rd to GC for May

Saints turn their pick 4, in what is being called an amazing draft class, into two injury prone players. We get May, everybody wins, except St Kilda.

If Moore is going, the more clubs that put their hat in the better . NOTE Geelongs 1st is slightly better than Sydney's. But no less than a late 1st rounder.

Think we should be really upgrading our KPP stocks. Assuming Moore stays and we can't get May, we just can't rely on Goldsack, Moore and Reid to get us through a year, especially with Dunn and Scharenberg probably missing a chunk of next year.

I'd be getting Hombsch, and also considering Bruce from St.Kilda.

If Darcy is leaving the Pies in search of Moore money, he is not going to get it down here in Geelong. They are at the top end of their cap.

Melbourne got a serious player and with the emergence of McDonald they have the perfect forward line probably just need a quick roving forward to complement them all

Imagine having the option of trading Hogan they have finally got the draft right, took long enough.
Would he come to the Pies ?

The concern about Moore staying is that we are now into the 2nd week of finals and still no signature. The likelyhood of him staying seems to be diminishing each week.

I’d honestly love to take the punt. Hasnt been able to get on the park this year. Had that really good season up forward where he drifted abit late, and has kicked 38 and 36 goals the two years after it which is decent.

I could see him being to us what Cam Mooney was to the Cats in 07-09, not the best or most dominate forward, but still ends up with a decent 40-50 goal a season tally.

Plus if he puts it all together we get him at full forward for the next 4-5 years. I hope the club is enquiring, especially with the changes going on at St Kilda.

Saints Pick 4 and Fat Tooth Gap Pat for Moore.
