How many of those players have had a contract sitting there since February and still refuse to sign on?
I'm unsure. There has been a real shift in our selection process this season with many senior players not getting much game time. I would think they are rethinking their future at the pies as their see

A. Their performance related pay (ie. Game tkme/ goal clauses) not being activated
B. Less first team footy due to a rise of the younger players

I could really see our salary cap space open up with many of these older fringe players leaving (Oxley, JB) as well as Crocker and others

Tomlinsons name always comes up every year and pretty sure hes always contracted when it does, i think GWS would force us to pay overs. Perhaps not even much less than it wod take to get May.
Yeah it does. But as others have said, GWS under serious cap pressure. They'll cut Griffen and save some coin then but are stuck with DeLidio for another year. They have Tomlinson, Coniglio, Himmelberg, Shiel, Kelly...and others... out of contract next year.

Chance they trade out an established player this year I reckon.

I'd be going after guys who are deserving of a payrise , but won't be able to receive one from GWS. Eg. Himmelburg.
Agreed - I'd be taking a good hard look at Himmelberg but I suspect that A) virtually every other club will be doing the same and B) they'll probably keep him and let go of Patton.

C'mon guys - does anyone really think the Giants are gonna be trying to move Cameron? Unless we throw in a godfather offer to them, which we don't really have available - I doub't he's going while he has 2 more years on his deal.
I would absolutely love him, and rate him above Tom Lynch, but I think the asking price would be too high (at least Moore and our 1st rounder - probably with something else thrown in).

If they are going for a salary dump, this is not the kind of guy you actively decide to move on (even at $1m-ish/yr).
If they are in a salary crisis, its those 2nd and 3rd tier guys they will try to move, not their top guys. (I reckon they would rather trade out Patton for close to nothing, than trade out Cameron for an average deal).
No, we have a no dickhead policy and Cameron is their president!!

If Elliot & Fasolo leave this year, which I’m starting to think is likely. I don’t think Elliot has signed as of yet.
I think we should Menogola from the Cats. I think he would be the ideal replacement for De GOEY in the forward line. He could rotate with De Goey through the midfield. He would get the recognition he deserves. Fantastic player. Allows Cats to free up some cap space.

Elliott will sign by all accounts. Fas will definitely move on, as to where is anyone's guess. People say Carlton, but wouldn't be surprised if Freo come knocking.

He gets plenty of recognition at Geelong I think you'll find. Also signed until 2020.

Think we can forget May unless we pay MASSIVE Overs
It’s going to depend on where our list management team sees our list at. If they feel our window is opening then we need another decent key defender especially if Moore goes, because this is one area that we have been exposed in especially since Dunn has gone down. And if we want one that is in contract then we may well have to pay a higher price as enforcing a contract by making a player stay and see it out is the only power clubs have in player movement (which is something I think should be corrected if players want more free agency concessions such as earlier trigger and it carry over from club to club).

If on the other hand they feel that this year is an anomaly brought about by the inequities of the draw then perhaps we need to be more patient and go back to the draft. Just remember though a drafted KPP is unlikely to be ready to go next year.

Do you think this year is an anomaly?
