Remember Barret,McClure etc?
Jake Niall is going with Essendon.

The article you just posted in full is clearly indicating Essendon is in a strong position.

As many have pointed out but you refuse to believe, purple and his mates are just getting in early. They will change their minds and then they will tell us how they thought it was Essendon all along.

You will probably believe them too.

To me it seems Geelong was his preference early on but something has changed where Essendon now seem to be the in the box seat.

I'm not sure about that.

Seems to me that Dodoro has kept in touch with Stringer the whole way through.

Clearly Stringers ex-girlfriend has contacts at the club also so I'm not sure that Geelong are nothing more than a negotiation tool.

We will know soon enough.

I bet Purple thinks Geelong because of his platitudes from the last ten years, Geelong/Hawthorn always get their man. No doubt he would have said the same about the Lions during their era.
Purple would be getting some information from Geelong but he would be getting absolutely nothing out of Essendon so he's going out on a limb.

He will start bending his story soon, you just see.

Hope you are right nothing would make me more chuffed then Stringer picking Essendon and Barret being wrong.

Pretty sure he's been black listed at Geelong as well

Fronk, do you know what the issue/s are between him and the club? I've heard everything from laziness, to being affected by his separation, to a bizarre love triangle to innuendo about drugs.
Nothing I'm keen on posting sorry man. He's a decent guy from all reports, but had an absolute shocker this year with his professionalism and attitude to training. There were lots of mitigating factors in all that too to be fair.

I'm sure most coaches would give him another chance, but the Drink is his own man, and I'm cool to back him in.

Nothing that should effect him ongoing. We're going to get unders for him which is pretty disappointing.

If Stringer chose us, and he puts his best foot forward and gets back to his best we'd be getting great value for pick 11.

Hope he picks us.
Seems like the club is angling for a pick in return.

I think they'll ask for 11 straight up, we'll ask for 26 and then the two will settle for the one in between (pick 39)

Even just a swap of 2nd rounders would be enough. Could always try trading that pick and our pick in the 40s for one of Tigers late 1st rounders although I doubt Dodoro would consider that

Is it possible we try and get some picks back for next year instead of this draft ?
With how every one is talking about it we may look to get some stronger representation?

Though tbh id rather us just give 11 and be done.

A swap of seconds would improve us what, 2 spaces? Not really a lot of point

Maybe, Dogs seemed willing to do that last year in a couple of trades.

this years second and next years second.
next years second will basically cover rylee west
we have no reason to give up pick 11 on a player they have ostracised
they showed us no favours with crameri
stringer is a luxury not a necessity.
If Dodoro could pull off Stringer without giving up a first rounder, I'd personally buy him a whole new wardrobe full of jackets.
