Shipping off Colyer as steak knives in any sort of deal is part of my dream offseason. I don't think he's a complete spud or anything I just think he is surplus to needs, not in our future plans (or shouldn't be) but could be of value to someone. I think a GWS would be a good fit
If it means landing our inside mid, I'm there. I'd be surprised if anyone's interested in Green now that he's injured again, even though he had a decent season.

Stringer & their second rounder in exchange for pick 11 would be the absolute best outcome for us however I think Stringer & their 3rd rounder would be most likely.
If Stringer nominates EFC and we can somehow snaffle an early 2nd or late first for Dogs, that would be preferable. I'd like to see us keep Pick 11... maybe a pipedream. Alternatively, working a 2018 first rounder into the equation for us would be good.

sorry but potential no longer exists in a player past 26 ;)

if you aren't there you aren't getting there
whilst this is true under normal cicumstances, lots of those boys that faced a year out were a little indifferent.

But apart from Colyer's pace i think he is expendable for the right cause.

Having said that we'd need to find some genuine leg speed, it's an asset of ours but i think we lack depth if injuries hit.

McGrath will be playing off a wing next year, Laverde is quick. We're alright for leg speed imo.

I reckon all the suspended players will improve out of site in 2018.

Colyer appears to have become more of your plastic cutlery deal than steaknives
Colyer really needs to have a strong preseason and regain his accuracy by foot if he doesn't get traded. It took such a long time for him to get that right, I fear it will take equally as long again. I'd happily part with him if it means getting Kennedy, but GWS have already said they'll go to the draft.

THE LATEST ON HOGAN, WATTS, CAMERON AND MORE!
BY SEN 41 MINUTES AGO

Former St Kilda chief Brian Waldron has provided trade updates on a slew of superstars across the competition.

One rumour he believes that isn’t going away is Jesse Hogan, while he reckons a fellow Demon forward is also on the way out the door.

“That’s not dead, I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but I’m told there is talks that it might be in both parties interests for him to go back,” Waldron said of Hogan, on SEN’s Hungry for Sport.

“Jack Watts will be out of Melbourne. We can put that down as a given. He needs to gets moved on for them to get Jake Lever.”

Hogan is locked into a contract that will keep him at the Dees until the end of 2019, while Watts is an unrestricted free agent at the end of 2019.

Waldron also put to bed speculation surrounding Greater Western Sydney forward Jeremy Cameron.

“There is a rumour doing the rounds that Jeremy Cameron is on the table. He will not be going anywhere,” he said.

“There has been some scuttlebutt out of people wanting to destabilise the Giants.”

West Coast’s Andrew Gaff has also “indicated to people he will come back” to Melbourne, according to Waldron, while Geelong has “gone cold” on Jake Stringer, and Essendon “won’t give a first-round pick” for the Dogs forward.

If Stringer chose us, and he puts his best foot forward and gets back to his best we'd be getting great value for pick 11.

Hope he picks us.
Remember Dustin Martin a few years back when he was being shopped around? Stringer is very talented. He'll make our forwardline the best in the business if he can get everything right.
