All I see in Saad is a bloke who gets it and runs fwd with nothing at the end of it. He and Conor on either flank would be a death trap across hb...

Don't really want. Prefer one flank that can defend
Saad is the perfect player to add to our HBF line given McGrath looks set for more midfield minutes. Very happy that we are reportedly into him.

Twitter rumour - Jack Watts to break contract to get to Port Adelaide

That's somewhat akin to jumping from the frying pan, into the fire...

2 years left on contract.

It was tweeted by a journalist which the AFL account has in it's official journos list. About as legit as it can be without quoting the man himself..

Meh - it's just a rumour... until it's not.

What it does promote, is that contracts in the AFL today are worth jack shit.

I'll be interested to see how it plays out, because it opens a huge can of worms. One being that the mid-season draft would become viable again in a huge way. Finals defining.

Hodge to the lions. well well well
Norf would be spewing - another top end aged player that could have been the best on their list, by streets, that got away.

Imagine what that mofo could have taught their shitty club about destination and respect.

Minnows.

A mid-season draft should be for non-listed players only... so VFL players or whoever that have missed out. Changing clubs mid-season is bizarre (I know it's happened before but I just find it strange).

I think it has so much merit and has had for many years, after being dropped.

When Ryder, Watts et al all can screw up "binding" contracts, why can't the rest.

It may well turn someone's season around, given the chance.

And now that you can trade future picks, imagine the shenanigans if someone thinks they're half a chance of finals or a flag with a new ruck or goal kicking HFF on their list.

If you're going to do it... go all in
