What if Petracca really wanted us?

Pwoah - don't even go there
How about a player like Petracca? Angus Brayshaw? ...the Brayshaw brothers at Essendon after the draft?
There's a dude called Christof Petracco in the draft
Well that has just made some in the media very very happy.
Will be next years Dustin Martin/Josh Kelly story.
Imagine Lynch and Daniher
We should be in front of the cue.
Is this him?
And then the year after that they can focus on Kelly again. And Daniher
No doubt North will have another crack.
Isn't D'Orazio Stringer's manager? Good opportunity to plant the seed early if so.
nah mate...you cant win GFs anymore with 2 or 3 key fwds...just need 1....and we already got that...and a fleet of manic, pressure crazy smalls...like tigers and doggies. Happy Birthday btw.
I didn't realise that Stringer "... met with Essendon again on Wednesday [today] and expects the forward to make his decision between the Bombers and the Cats in the next 24 to 48 hours."
So, to clarify things? ...to double check before signing with GFC?
Is Stringer, Smith and Saad realistic in this window? Could we land them all.
If we could add those 3 we would have a pretty high intensity best 22 IMO.
Reckon we can get Sadd but not sure on Smith reckon he'll go to Carlton.
At least we are having a crack at these guys. Can't for for trade week to be done so we can move on with what we get.
Definitely a possibility.
We'd have to give up a 1st rounder somewhere along the line to do it but yeah.
I think so.
And I usually laugh at the people suggesting trading in 3, 4, 5 players for all our draft picks every year. But I can see logic to all these ones.
They all fit our age bracket. And they could all potentially be had for what I would consider "unders"
3 simple trades of:
Stringer + 26 for 11.
Smith for 26
Saad for 28 (or next years 2nd)
Sure, not having a pick in the first 2 rounds come draft night will suck. But pick 11 is the only real loss. By the time you get to pick 28, my theory is you're as much chance for a good player there as you are in the 30s, maybe even low 40s. We could try and get a 3rd rounder from somewhere for someone like Colyer, too.
If your first 2 picks in a draft produced what could be expected of Stringer, Smith and Saad, you'd take that and run every day of the week.
Only thing I'm cautious of is salary cap room. I'm only chasing guys if I know we have our bases covered for the future pay days of McGrath, Fantasia, Tippa...and then a bit later again Z. Merrett and Daniher
I am unsure if we have enough for all three, would need to source draft picks from somewhere else. Asking price on Saad is second round, Stringer apparently first round (lower atm). We could maybe then trade a future pick for Smith?
Josh Schache was on the same flight as me this morning. Still rocking Brisbane gear. Take from that what you will.
He needs to buy some clothes?
I’d say he has something to do with Brisbane.
That's just like.. your opinion man.
Didn't has mangler go on trade radio and say he was definitely staying?
Confirmed to the bulldogs
I hope we land all these players and continue to be mediocre.
