Liked the fact dodo bid on walker. It at least showed that finding a electric quick rebounding defender will be a priority moving forward.
With the Davey twins being 2022 draft eligible it might give us the flexibility to offload our 2022 1st rounder next year in order to perhaps get Dunkley or to improve our draft hand next year, but obviously dependent on how the 2 of them develop next year and projecting on how highly they look like being rated.

Cant fix all the issues in one offseason. Obviously prioritised getting the talls right this year and would think our 2021 offseason will focus on the midfield and small defenders etc.
The club would have obviously loved to have kept Saad and McKenna and been sorted in the speed from half back, but it hasn't happened so we move on and focus on improving the list from here forward.
This isn't going to be a one year rebuild. Its going to take multiple years. So worrying about Richmonds small forwards is a futile exercise.

Lachlan Jones but he was always going to Port.

Walker (not top 30) looked pretty good.

Not that I’m advocating we should’ve picked 1 with our 3 first picks.

I’m happy with our draft with eye to the future. I hope we are looking to add via the SPP and or mid season draft.

I love when people have a meltdown that we haven’t drafted for immediate success, but will then complain that we’re sh*t and never get anywhere because we never plan ahead. Then, also, have no actual ideas or thoughts as to what should be done differently.

I guess we could have used a top-10 selection to select a speculative flanker rated in the 30s though. Good work Dodo.

He made an immediate impact and looked comfortable at senior level, playing predominately on the wing but also spending some time as a high half-forward and a medium-sized defender. A member of the AFL Academy, Dumesny represented Australia and was also selected to participate in the Under 17 All-Stars match in late 2019. This year, he suffered an ankle injury whilst playing in the Reserves, which kept him sidelined for a number of weeks. However, he returned to the Panthers’ Under 18s side for their must-win clash with North Adelaide in the final home and away round, where he gathered a game-high 33 disposals. He accumulated a further 20 touches in the semi-final defeat to Woodville-West Torrens the following week.

Max Heath: 203/94 Key Forward/Ruck, Sandringham Dragons.

AFL Draft Central says: Heath has seemingly come out of nowhere to become a genuine draft chance in 2020. Standing at an impressive 203cm, the Xavier College and Sandringham Dragons prospect wasn’t on the radar last year; playing only a single game for Sandringham and collecting a lowly four disposals, seven hit-outs, and one goal in Round 9 against Gippsland. It wasn’t much of a surprise to see him miss out on the original AFL Academy intake, but a standout performance in the pre-season against Oakleigh Chargers put him firmly in recruiters’ sights. With that brilliant display, he earned selection for the AFL Draft Combine, but the Covid situation has certainly hampered his progress this year as he would have also gotten the opportunity to be Victoria Metro’s leading ruckman, competing against the likes of Kalin Lane, Shannon Neale, Riley Thilthorpe and Henry Walsh of the other regions.

Don’t mind look of dumensy, he looks like he can read the play and can kick. Zavier looks ok 2. Maybe there’s someone else we’re not aware of though.

Who was that dashing half back flanker training with us last year? Nigel Lockyer?

If Cedric Cox didnt return to WA id hope we give him a chance to train with the club

Or talk Mckenna into coming back

Seems like it might be difficult to replace the half backs. Probably dont want to take one with a top 4-6 pick next year

Redmans fine as a half back i feel. Maybe doesnt have the zip we need which i think is what we will be lacking and find hardest to replace. Hopefully we can get a couple of late ganes into L.Johnson see what he will offer over say a Guelfi

Jetta, Johannisen, Wilson, Z.Williams, Saad, Z.Tuohy, B.Smith, Milera, Lloyd, Quaynor provide that

I wonder if we will have a good look at Salem/Josh Kelly as FAs

Maybe dont rule out Tippa

Snelling, Smith, Cahill, Ham, Mozzie, L.Johnson might be able to play the 2-3 small forward role for us in the next 2-3 years
