Completely agree, want him to stay on the list

I don’t see Brander as KP. He’s more a floater/utility, or stop gap so to speak. Size isn’t always directly correlated to position. If anyone should be moved to KP it’s Crippa. He towered over Jesse Hogan when we played GWS (post game). If we can bring Cerra and Hewett in then Crippa can play 3rd tall in the fwd line on a 60/40 rotation - devastating, and allows H and CC to roam more.
FWIW - IMHO
if Sammo wants to go to WCE, then a straight swap for Brander is even and works for both parties.
Cerra is Pick 6 all day every day. Nothing more, nothing less.
Luke Dunstan is worth a significant nibble. Meat and potatoes mid.
James Cousins as a DFA is another meat and potatoes mid worth a look at.
Not saying all, but potential options.
Brander is like a JSOS in a way ... can play a few different roles, not adverse to picking him up at all. In actual fact, I think he is more in the must have, than have not, basket.
Reminds me of a Gunstan type
If only lol!
Particularly with what’s happened in the past two seasons with the entire development leagues across the country, especially Victoria where a majority of the pool these kids are drafted from…Both would comfortably sit in our best 22 ... The thing that perplexes me is this .. people say don't lose pick 6 because draft "x" player .. Well Cerra is 21 and already miles ahead of say an SPS in output.
I would take a known quantity that has proven himself at AFL level everyday of the week versus a "might be" with 3-4 years before they start impacting at AFL level.

Unfortunately such a small sample size to go by once again with the Victorian boys, no championships last year with this year also looking doubtful, as well as the nab league again being severely affected again…
The draft year throws up so many curveballs with these kids, highly rated kids stamping themselves within the top end, some sliding, some lesser likes coming right on, then a few bolters from nowhere…
Cerra is a ready made player with some terrific upside, how much who knows but he’s well worth the pickup…
Don’t you think he’s back injury looks concerning, he’s practically been out all year with it…Delisting O-Mac strikes me as vastly uncalled for.
A few picks in the 2nd/3rd rounds might just give you a chance of nailing a few diamonds on the back of some astute drafting if your lucky…The draft is a lottery atm with Vic/NSW kids .. You have just as much chance picking a "pick 5" at "pick 60" this year .... truly bizarre times.
OMac would be ideal for depth considering what we saw of him before the stress fracture in his back put him out. However lying to the club and getting pain killing injections offsite wouldn’t look good for his continuing at the club.We shouldn't need a spare rookie spot that bad. Worth another year, if even for depth.
That would be interesting. Freo are paying him roughly 700k/year And he has 2 years left on his contract. I’ve seen that GC17 would be his preferred destination, but as a replacement for CAS, he would be ideal.Rory Lobb happy to take a paycut. Interesting.

You would have to wonder just what the severity of it might be…

" Ex-Blues list boss questions club’s $1.8m gamble that could spell trouble for veteran star "
sounds a lot better to the vultures than
"Sydney player squeezed out due to salary issues to bolster Blues midfield on 450k a year."

Hewett a great pick up, Cerra would also improve our mids brigade
SPS could facilitate Brander, but am told Hawks are very keen on Brander
Our priorities from here should be 3 spine players, 1 of which is ready to go. If we delist OMac, add another to the list of needs

I think Hewett, Cerra for pick 6, Ladhams and Brander would be a really good Trade/FA period for us.
So presuming Cerra nominates Melbourne, how does this deal get done exactly?
Their first pick is 33, and next years first might as well be 18 at this stage. Is this what Freo will accept if push comes to shove?
Will they trade a player for another late first / early second and go Tim Kelly style?
So was Harry
