Trade hypotheticals

How much would Gawn fetch alone? Would Freo have to offer their first rounder or more?

You'd rather trade pick 3 for a fringe mid? Hrovat and pick 6/7 or O'Rouke and GWS pick 20????????? I would take the first deal.
No, I'd rather trade a later pick for a GWS fringe mid, probably didn't make that clear. The top 3 seem to be well ahead of the rest of the draft, so I'd want something good to trade out of it.

Melbourne's rucks, Jamar retiring soon, Gawn our next number 1 ruck, Spencer spud and Fitzpatrick who is more of a forward and not that great, Melbourne aren't trading Gawn.

Gawn averages 16 hit out a game this year what a gun

What the???

Gawn is 3 years younger and has averaged more disposals, marks, goals and hit outs per game this year whilst still growing into his epic frame.

Fact. Gawn compares favourably to Sandy at the same age and will replace Jamar next year as our number 1 ruckman. TBC is 25 and has for the most part played VFL footy this year...

Loose Gawn and replace TBC with Carlisle and you're closer.

Compare Tom Bellchambers' 2013 where he played the majority of the season and you will see why he is rated so highly. Goes forward, kicks goals, wins hitouts, wins possessions around the ground.

Yet over their careers they are almost statistically even, despite TBC being in/approaching his prime.

Think Melbourne could end up with a lot of quality young players if they are smart this off-season. Might have to sacrifice a player like Grimes/Watts to get a mid 20's pick, but they could also get Taylor Hunt, Mitch Hallahan, Sam Kerridge, and Jono O'Rourke and Kristin Jaksch

Add to that pick 2 and 20ish as their normal draft picks. Could be something like
In: pick 2, 21, 25, 43 + Hallahan, Hunt, O'Rourke, Jaksch + O'Keefe
Out: Frawley, Byrnes, Clark, Grimes, McKenzie, Clisby, Strauss, Nicholson and Blease.

I'd be pumped if I was a Dees supporter and the Dees did that (Frawley compo pick used to get O'rourke and Jaksch and steak knives). Getting pick 2, O'Rourke and Jaksch as class, and 21, 25, and Hallahan all 'solid' players in which you can get 10 year players out of. Only losing two quality players (not including Clark) in Grimes and Frawley.

Didn't hallahan win the jj Liston? If so then Melb should be in his ear several months ago!

No idea. He's a talent though. Can't see Hawks willingly giving him up (young quality mid to replace Sewell/Mitchell/Burgoyne) but surely Melbourne could offer a fair bit more and I doubt Hallahan has a premiership spot at Hawthorn in the very near future.

Long time between posts mate ! Either you are very naive or a troll . Poor trade idea anyway

The fact you use 'they' instead of 'we' makes me think you are not a WCE supporter
And a long time between posts does mean nothing, he may have more of a life then you :-)

Not biased at all going by your user name. Viney shits all over Hrovat anyhow. Hogan is also 99.9% sure to be too once he plays.
Its normal to over rate your own players.. Hrovat will end up twice the player Viney will become.

Hmm. Nope.

Both will be good to very good midfielders, to say one way or another at this point is pure foolishness. It's not as if it's a Heppell vs Conca debate.

Well keep him!!!

You are dreaming thinking tbc & #19 is worth Gawn & #3

Laughable in fact

I'd take melbournes 2nd rounder for Boxer. He did win the Liston medal last year. What would the chances of Hallahan Grimley snagging 2round and Blease?

We don't trade Bellchambers unless it's for ridiculous overs. Look at the fact that we had to play Carlisle and Daniher as a ruck combination for 2 weeks

You'd probably get Blease for a nothing pick, he'll de-listed otherwise, despite having blistering pace that we lack so badly and having a great year in the VFL.

I know his skills aren't great which is the downside. And a reason a lot of hawk supporters would be against him. But he has great endurance and an elite turn of speed. If we can get him for not much.... Perhaps even as a rookie. I think we can turn him into a very serviceable winger

He's not a great field kick, great around goals though. Speed is elite, endurance is actually one of his downfalls, he's one of the worst at MFC. Also not great defensively, which is probably why he's out of favour with Roos. No doubt he'll do well if you pick him up.

I wouldnt mind Carlton picking up Blease for cheap & hope we can turn him around
No thanks. We already have Lucas who was on the outer this year.

Blease would have to push Thomas, Buckley, Yarran, Simpson and Everitt out for a spot as a runner. Don't see him adding to our 22 if he isn't a better kick than these players. Plus Sheehan, Holman, Cripps and Graham who will hopefully come through next year.

Was being sarcastic, relating to somebody else saying the same thing

I've heard straight from his mouth that he wants to play at Carlton next year.
He wanted to go to either the hawks or tigers last year but roos convinced him to stay.
After this year though he has hates Melbourne and wants a fresh start.

Why doesn't he want to go to Richmond or hawthorn anymore?
