Trade hypotheticals

To be honest he would just be a depth player, and would only squeeze out a Simpkin type player. What do you think he is worth, Saints wouldn't offer their 2nd or 3rd rounder.
Our 2nd rounder will only be 4 or 5 picks after your 1st.
He's a quality player, no way the crows would get rid of him for a pick they probably wouldn't even use.

Douglas would be starting in the centre square for Hawthorn. I wouldn't hesitate on giving pick 19 up for him

Douglas isn't the type of player we need. I believe our club is in talks with Dylan Shiel management.

And how are you gonna get him? You would need at least birchall and ur first pick

Would need more than that I reckon. How much vale does Birch hold?
Put Birchall in that back line and they'd have close to the best skilled back line in the AFL (if Frost isn't there of course). Davis, Shaw, Birchall, Plowman, Haynes and Kennedy. They'd still struggle with 2nd forwards, though

What would Richard Douglas fetch on the trade table? Was in the All Australian 40 last year, 27 years old, would be a great pick up for a premiership contender.

Problem is he is probably going to be a FA soon? But definitely someone I would hope we looked at. Would have the same sort of value as Bernie Vince I would think. 28 at the start of next year.

Did Tyson??

Tyson had a couple of break out games for GWS, I remember at least one where I think he got 30+ and was a jet...was enough for Melbourne and Richmond to want him. Miles is a different kettle of fish because he was just rookied but even he showed he could find the footy at AFL level.

I think O'Rourke will fetch something around the high teens. I would be happy for Richmond to chase him and pay as I think he has some top level talent.

I'd be ok with that but I think a mid to late 2nd rounder is too low. He has been badly hampered with injury and hasn't settled in Sydney as well as probably both he and the club would have liked. He has some decent upside.

Yep and he was held back by a PCL injury for a while too.

What about the Cats' first for O'rourke and your 3rd (which I doubt you'd be using)? So 16 for O'Rourke + 42?

Who would he squeeze out of our midfield, our first pick would be used on someone with considerable scope for improvement not a 27 year old vanilla midfielder.

From your game on the weekend he's better than Simpkin, Sewell, Shiels, Langford and Hartung at least.

What is Brown's injury prognosis?? I've got a lot of respect for him on his best ability and he does fit the profile of a seasoned bigger bodied defender.

If he has a clean bill of health I would definitely do that!
If he's on a clean bill of health he would be one of our ountouchables :P chances are you would not be able to pick up a full backanywhere near browns calibre with whatever you guys are offered for orouke. Obviously browns injury makes him a lot less valuable, but it's probably the deal that will contribute to your team the most, as gws has no use of any pick beyond 15, which is what other clubs are likely to offer

Well I dare say if it's something chronic we would pass. I think everybody still looks back at the Bradshaw deal at the Swans (though he was a few years older). Those deals can really end in tears.

We need a strong body that can give us 3 or 4 good years and transition onto our kids Plowman/Corr. Another bloke I think could really help is Malceski. I know he is more a sweeper and not massive bodied but he is such a good user of the ball and seems over his injury woes with his knees. We lack composure in defence apart from Shaw.

Personally I think gws has one of, if not the most skillful side behind Fremantle Geelong hawthorn. However, ur defense gets monsters by key forwards week in week out, which is the reason why I see the need for brown. As to his injury, I think it's more because of collingwood poor performance department as opposed to him simply being injury prone. We are atrocious at keeping players healthy and brown is just one of the victims. Brown is an excellent shutdown full back with limited rebound abilities which is perfect for gws' skillful defense
