Hyothetically, if a couple of the rumoured players throw the sooks with the Dons:
How about: Ryder to Brisbane, Carlisle to Hawthorn
Brisbanes 1st Pick to Essendon, Clark to Essendon, Essendons 1st Pick to Melb, McEvoy to Essendon, Hawthorns 1st Round Pick to Essendon?

Gives Essendon a Ruckman, plus a Fwd/Ruckman, Plus 2 first round draft picks. Could possibly change McEvoy for Suckling if essendon wanted a HBF.

Thoughts?

Why trade when you could possibly land them as DFAs?

Nice try, but I don't see the lions giving up their first round pick for Ryder, while they have Leuy and Martin as their two ruckmen.

U taking the piss? So we get pick 4 and move our 2nd round pick from 26 to 22. Nah dont think so

If u had of said pick 4 and swap their second pick for our third pick u r getting closer, but still no deal

I think beams will stay anyway
I reckon pick 4 and a player like Lester, Golby or Harwood should temp the Pies.

Think about the fact that Beams will be out of contract next year. I know we have to trade for him, but we might not be able to trade our first round pick next year, due to the fact the club might use it on Keays (academy player). We a huge salary cap space and a uncontracted Beams, might mean you get nothing or less compensation for him.

Getting him for a first round pick is already a day light robbery, try not get too greedy here shall we?

Not tempted at all, throw us something decent if u really want him. The players u named could hardly make your side, whats the point of us having them?

That's the problem. Something decent from my point of view would be the above trade and from your point of view, it's something like Pick 4 + Leuenberger or Hanley or Rockliff. I reckon Beams will stay at Collingwood, but in 12 months time, when his uncontracted it would be a different story.

We will not take Pick 4+ Leurenberger, he's a late first rounder at best

Pick 4 by itself is a better deal than throwing in one of those 3.

We've brought in White, Armstrong, Russell, Young and Lynch over the past 2 years so why would we be interested in more peripheral players?

I can spin it another way. Rockliff is on the market during this trade period and we offer pick 4 and Sinclair what do you say to that?..

Lester is a quality footballer. You'd be lucky to have him. He is several grades above any of the mentioned players.

If he wanted to go home and his contract was to expire in a years time, then I would say yes.
