Selwood for pick 16?

I think he is a top 10 pick in value, when he is not injured he is a gun.

If we were to have a go

Pick 7 + third rounder for Selwood + Sinclair.

Why would Geelong want Sinclair? They have Brown, Walker and someone else I'm forgetting who are just as good and will fill that role. Scott Selwood isn't worth a top 10 pick. Good player but not a top 10

Talking about us.

I think Geekong need a ruck personally, it's rather their injured or just not that good.

Helbig won't be delisted.

The two guys id be genuinely interested in are Mitch Hallahan (Hawthorn) and Jordan Schroder (Geelong)

Both young inside midfield bulls who shared last years Liston Trophy as the best player in the VFL.

Both fit a need for us and both wouldn't cost the world despite still having some reasonable upside (both 21 from memory)

Chances are Schroder either won't be on the market or he'll be dirt cheap. Geelong have a history of keeping players if they rate them at all and then moving them on quickly if they don't. I can't imagine there'll be a bidding war over him either. Something like an upgrade of a 3rd rounder would give you first chance of picking him up if we don't want to keep him.

I've got a bad feeling Jonathan Ceglar might look to move on if he gets overlooked by seasons end, he's been playing well and his currency has got to have gone up, what would a club now, be willing to give him.

I would be skeptical to give much uo for him tbh.

He's playing in a team where anyone can slot in and seem to play well, but he has been playing good footy.

Would be the pies best ruck, but as in value I'm really unsure, probably not much.

I don't know. A club like Port, Geelong or Richmond even that need rucks would probably give a late 2nd/early 3rd rounder for Ceglar. The guys been keeping McEvoy out of the team and he was worth a first rounder

A top club would be more inclined to give away that sort of pick I suppose.

A bottomed team like us would value a chance at a second round kid more than Ceglar I think.

I suppose that's true. There will be a big difference between Brisbane's second rounder and Hawthorne's.

Don't be surprised if the swans swoop in. They need a young FB of the future and could see them off loading Reid as a tradeoff for cap space.
I actually think Freo are looking at Frawley and will have cap space for him

I wouldn't want Frawley at the tigers tbh, Hawks look to be heading the race ATM.

...

I guess you're just doing well with what you've got then?

Who would want Frawler over Vickery or Chaplin anyway?

Tigers have already tied up decent coin in Chaplin as well, not that that's relevant or anything.

We keep hearing about Freo's mythical cap space, first it was Goddard, then Cloke and then Buddy, i'm not saying they don't have the coin (they well might, even with Fyfe's massive extension), but they really need a KPF more than a defender who can play forward a bit

Also add in that we offered Harry Taylor well over a million dollars a year in the middle of last season. Since than we've signed Fyfe and Mundy on bigger deals but we've also given Sandilands and Pav lower contracts (you'd think).

I actually think we would benefit more from getting an experienced KPD over a key forward. Pav has signed for another season but LMac looks cooked and I'm pretty sure he will retire at seasons end. We've also got more promising youth in the forward line then defence IMO

I don't think it was that much mate. Probably more along the 700-800k mark.

from Freo I'd be putting Duffield and Clancee Pearce on the table. No real reason other than we need to be turning our list over even while we are close to the top. They are two players who we can cover without much difficulty. Pearce is depth and sutcliffe and suban shuffle around to cover duffields exit opening a spot in the 22 for sheridan/mora to make their own.
