Trade hypotheticals

You aren't really arguing that because he scored 3 goals that's his 'average' are you. That's your problem
It was tongue in cheek yes - but he still did more than hold his own against Nic Nat and Cox - at a lot of teams he'd be a 2nd ruck.

How many of your ruckman average 3 goals a game? Or matched it with Nic Nat and Cox? He'd be very close to the #1 ruckman at St Kilda or at least it would be a genuine battle between him and Hickey. Longer may be the best long term ruck prospect though.

Lol if spencer White got dropped after his first game he would average 3 goals a game and be better than roughhead! And McEvoy wasn't our number one ruckman when hickey was fit it's why we traded him, so if lowden doesn't play over McEvoy how the hell do you think he is going to play over hickey?

Lowden has played one game in 6 years, good players don't spend 6 years in he vfl. There is absolutely no chance he is a better prospect than any of our 5 ruckman.

Like most ruckman he needed time to develop. He was also bottom age when drafted. I didn't see many games where Hickey got picked over McEvoy last year so I'm not sure what you are talking about there. But I do agree Saints don't need him - they should back in Hickey and Longer and Lowden shouldn't bother going to a club unless he's going to be a 2nd ruck. He'd be a decent chance to be 2nd ruck at clubs like Adelaide, Essendon, Carlton, North, Demons, Doggies, Geelong, Collingwood, Sydney and Richmond.

I meant in a sense that we as fans and obviously our coaching staff as they trading Him could all see that hickey was going to be better than McEvoy. So I find it a little bit rich that you could suggest he would compete for our number one ruck spot when he isn't at hawthorn.

Well using that argument - it was line ball between Ceglar and McEvoy, I doubt many here would pick Hickey over Ceglar based on exposed form so far. So if Hickey was at Hawthorn he'd be fourth banana.

When hickey was fit at the start of the season he was excellent but then he got injured and we continued to play him until we sent him off for surgery. If the saints honestly thought McEvoy would be better than hickey we wouldn't have traded him.

if hampson can fetch pick 27 i think from memory and struggle to walk without tripping over his own feet lowden wouldn't be to far off that anything over pick 40 i'd want to keep him

We trump with 51~

Apparently Hardingham could come into calculations for Sydney.

i dont know man. i dont know if anyone club would punt on a roughy with infraction notices hanging over their head

not sure as a player if i'd want to go to essendon either with everything that is going on

North: Pick 15 to Brisbane and Greenwood to Collingwwod.
Brisbane: Merret to North and pick 4 to Collingwood.
Collingwood: Beams to Brisbane and Collingwood on forwards pick 4 to North.

All teams are winners.
Collingwood has a ready made in and under gut running midfielder and another 1st round pick at 15.
North has a good strong defender and can then speculate with pick 4 that we get someone decent.
Brisbane has their man.
This far out scenario of mine is getting closer to reality.
I think Greenwood is the player that could get the Beams deal done.

See... That's where you're wrong.

It was actually pick 27 for Gale... Hampton is just along for the ride

Dont understand your first point. What difference does that make, the club still needs to improve its list and will try to do so.

Its been reported that its between Essendon and the dogs.

I think a 3rd/4th round pick is his worth.
