Trade hypotheticals

5th in line in the 4th best defence in the league. He'd be getting games at most clubs in the AFL. Was he not that good when he held Fevola (1st in Coleman) and Brown (2nd) to 2 goals between them as a 19 year old?

Don't post and ask for other peoples opinions if you don't like what people have to say.

Your thoughts on their respective values?
Hard to say really, depends on the club and their needs. But I think if Richmond were to field offers for Conca league wide, and West Coast were to field offers for Lycett league wide, West Coast would receive the better offers.

Would give up Ports first rounder + sweetener for Lycett.

I think first rounder (likely 15-19) + sweetener is reasonable if Lycett nominated Port.

With Lycett being out of contract, you wouldn't get a sweetener if he nominated a specific club. Look what Brisbane had to take for their OOC kids last year. I think Port's first pick would be more than generous under the circumstances.

Carlton have to trade into this draft in a big way. What would people pay for the likes of Kreuzer, Garlett and Lucas (if anything)?

I think WC would offer overs for Conca.

Kruezer = second rounder + fringe

Gartlett = third rounder

Lucas = straight swap for Houli or Grigg, or third.

I'd take an early 2nd round for Kreuzer. He needs to go to a side that needs a primary ruck though as he's pretty well useless in any other position. Potentially Melbourne as Jamar is getting on a bit. But they'll likely use their 2nd round pick on Stretch.

Reckon Garlett would have more value in a player for player swap, and maybe some juggling of draft picks. Has too much potential for just a 3rd round, but isn't showing enough to warrant a 2nd round pick.

I'd just give you guys Lucas to say thanks for giving us Andy Collins...no need for Grigg to come back :p

No.

FWIW I rate Gaff around 15 and Garlett around 40.

I wouldn't do Garlett + second round (which may be around 28ish) for Gaff either.

I can't think of a trade I think is fair though. Your first rounder clearly too much for Gaff.

Fair call. Would like to get Gaff though, the type of player we need in the middle at the moment.

I'd seriously consider trading our first rounder for Mitchell even if it's pick 1. Would depend on how the club rated McCartin, Wright, Brayshaw, etc.

And I think this would still be a lesser deal than ones West Coast would receive for Lycett.

Is Conca contracted?

Yep, so eagles would get a top 10 for Lycett you think?

I can't see Richmond getting a top 10 pick for Conca tbh. Both would be 10-20, with West Coast more of a chance of getting the better deal.
