Pick 6 won't be included with Henderson.

GWS have openly been pleading for quality 23/24yo's to go to their Club. They would be absolutely wrapped to have Henderson to partner Phil Davis for 8 years.

Carlton get Boyd.
GWS get Henderson.
Boyd gets to play in Melbourne for his preferred Club.
Henderson gets a big pay rise.

As usual with GWS, the sticking point will be getting the quality 24yo to agree to go there. But that might be changing now that their uncompetitive years are passing.

IF....IF....Boyd wants to leave, to me it is the deal that makes sense all round and might be do-able.

I wouldn't.

The trade table is a gamble. You need to give to get back especially when the player you are after is contracted.

A contracted Boyd is likely going nowhere this year and if he does clubs will have to pay a premium. Even pick 1 alone likely doesn't get him. You would need to throw in player (obviously not to the level of Henderson) or pick upgrade down the draft order.

He's a good player, not even close to a great player let alone champion.

If you seriously think GWS will trade Boyd for Henderson you're off ya rocker. More chance of Melbourne making this year's GF
