Trade hypotheticals

is Crozier attainable?

He's a really good kid and would relish a move home back home (not to say he doesn't like perth or anything) and would probably be a walk up start in 18 months, if not earlier

I think a trade to get us a higher or extra 1st rounder may be possible. Our 1st + Crozier/Sheridan for a high 1st rounder. Or our 2nd rounder+ either of them for a later 1st round.

Bellchambers while I consider a less durable but better player than Ben McEvoy I think would hold similar value if not a little less seeing as Hawthorn overpaid for Ben IMO. Mitchell would be an extremely sort after player and sydney would receive offers far exceeding Bellchambers IMO. I'd say you would need to throw in your compo pick with Bellchambers to get that deal done.

If it was Carlisle we'd have the basis to start negotiations, I'm not sold on Bellchambers (health wise) and I'm happy to go out on a limb and say KPD is a bigger priority than ruck for us - although ruck is definately a position we need to contemplate.

I doubt it,

Longmire likes key positon players who are flexible (i.e sam reid/tippett) also all our players are mids who rest in the forward line with the exception of McGlynn who is the other way around. I would be very suprised to see mitchell go in the trade period, but if he does it will be to West Coast for a defensive tall.

I doubt it as well. Just commenting on how I value Mitchell. The suggestion was Bell for Mitchell and I tweaked it a little in the unlikely scenario the trade is done.

Barry Mitchell lives up in Sydney so not sure his son is too keen to move back to WA, actually not sure the WA link should still remain. He may go to WA / Vic / SA for more opportunity though.

I reckon Carlisle for Mitchell is a win - win

Wow, would be some offer!:D

I would give our first rounder for him.

And a dees supporter said depending on the draft he would give up a top 5 pick.

Rating him way to highly

If you knew the Swans history of first round picks you'd know why:oops:

Carlisle was an All Australian quality CHB last year, which is exactly what we need while we're in our premiership window and with Ted Richards not getting any younger. I wouldn't trade Mitchell for potential (I don't rate the talls in this draft as much as others, we are also not lacking in the midfield department) and we are already getting arguably the best midfielder from this draft in Heeney.

I doubt Essendon would trade Carlisle for Mitchell considering they reportedly turned down pick 1 for him from GWS.

I just think this draft is very good, Durdin will be a gun.

What about Golby to StKilda for pick 21or22 depending on which pick is Stkilda's second round pick hear Stkilda are highly into him at least that's what Mark Fine said on SEN

You are kidding aren't you? He was a rookie selection after doing his ACL and hasn't shown a great deal in the big time and you think we would offer pick 21 for him?

Not for that pick, Brisbane and the saints wouldn't be able to do a deal because they wouldn't satisfy each other's needs.

What would people give for Deledio?

We would want a bit.

You'd expect interest from a team playing finals which wouldn't give you the best draft pick. Might be better suited to trading for a young kid from an expansion club if there was a kid that wanted to return to Vic.

But what about Martin Gleeson? I love the guy. He's thin as a rake but surely capable of putting weight on. He's not as tall as I thought so rebounding defender it is, but I loved him: looks up, has the confidence to take the game on, knows a good option, doesn't make dumb decisions but realises you have to be quick... I really rate him as a footballer. You're coaching Essington and I'm at Freo – would you take Croz for Gleeson? If not, what's your return offer?

I daresay the club view Gleeson as untouchable, i certainly view him as such, so it'd take a hell of an offer to make me consider giving him up.

I dunno, if we had a 2nd round pick that'd probably by my offer for Crozier, but without it we don't really have a lot unless we want to give up a major piece like Carlisle or Bellchambers.

If you want a key defender we could do a swap for Steinberg, he'd be leading our VFL bnf by quite a distance
