What would the Cats want/ask for Taylor Hunt?

Given our list is fairly tight I can't imagine we'd want anybody from the Bombers who you'd be willing to give up (so...straight swap for Heppell?).

So it's likely to be a pick or a pick upgrade. Realistically somewhere lateish in the 2nd round would probably be what we'd want so something early 30s. You guys won't have that and your 3rd rounder would be into the 50s which is pretty low for him. I'd imagine we'd love to get our hands on your end of 1st rounder since we probably won't be taking a lot of picks this year. But then pick 35 or there abouts and Hunt for pick 20 is probably too much of a downgrade. Whatever happens I imagine if he wants to go to Essendon we'll find a way to get him there without too much fuss. It might just need to wait for another deal or 2 so that we've got picks in the right range to upgrade.

He wasn't getting games when he was getting 50 touches in the 2nds.

The Swans were in the middle of a 11 game steak! Mitchell is worth a top 10 pick plus some decent steak knives or a top 5 pick alone

Tough question, depends if clubs are worried about the off field stuff.

Just as a footballer I'd say late 2nd round. This board overrates draft picks in the extreme so no doubt I'll cop some abuse over that call.

Personally, I reckon you're being generous. I think he is overrated.

If players don't get games their not worthy of a top 5 pick doesn't matter what club they play for

I reckon if Fremantle offer 17 and an upgrade from 3rd to second round we could probably get Mitchell.

But we won't so...

I think people are overrating Mitchell a little here. He should be roughly a first rounder, but if your not playing AFL, your trade value certainly cannot increase. I think a club would be taking a pretty big risk to be offering a straight swap of a top 10 draft pick for him.

Him requesting to leave and a pick between the 10-19 range - the swans certainly couldn't just ignore that situation.

NEAFL certainly isn't VFL or WAFL or SAFL.

Yep. If a young player has built up an injury history or simply isn't in the seniors, there trade value goes down. Probably worth a pick between 8-14 though imo.

Robinson for Janesch fair ?

I think Lowden,Shoey and Suckling are likely in the trade table this year. Pretty sure Hawthorns 3rd rounder will be used on Harry Dear (fingers crossed for 4th)

Late 2nd - Mid 3rd for Lowden with Hale not likely to be playing in the ones next year or possible retirement

Shoey is tough.... Spent most of his career in defence but most certainly a forward or swingman. I'd say pick 20ish but there was a trade offered a few pages ago (can't find it)

Shoey and 2nd for a first and 3rd (mid-late) I'd take that

And Suckling is one we could afford to lose for the right price ( Shoey pick and first + Suckling for Sloane? Shuey? Hannebery? Cunningham?

Thoughts?

The game he got 64 touches was against Eastlake, and the Swans reserves won 156-25. Not exactly the best game to determine form. If he backed it up the next game, he'd likely have been back in the 1's.

Regardless of what Bf think, you don't get promoted to the 1's of a winning team on the back of one game, no matter how good, against witches hats (and not even normal witches hats... NEAFL witches hats).

The reserves had the bye the next week, and then he got injured the next game.

With WCE re-signing Lycett interest in Lowden might go down a bit. I'd expect Lowden could be traded for a 3rd or 4th round pick.
We have to remember he has played 1 game of AFL so a late 2nd rounder may be a bit of a stretch.

Oh, was unaware Lycett resigned... That dents that theory!

May suit the Dogs tho...

I'd love him at Port, We only have Lobbe fit, Redden has been injured for 2 years and Renouf will be delisted.
He would get plenty of game time as a fwd ruck here.

I think Ports 3rd could get it done. Particularly if they continue to slide
