What would the bombers want for Colyer?

He's exactly the type we need! Underrated him until tonight I think.

Colyer isn't going anywhere. He's one of very few with genuine leg speed at Essendon. Other than him it's Dalgleish and Edwards, with blokes like Zaka a level below.

I think Lowden,Shoey and Suckling are likely in the trade table this year. Pretty sure Hawthorns 3rd rounder will be used on Harry Dear (fingers crossed for 4th)

Late 2nd - Mid 3rd for Lowden with Hale not likely to be playing in the ones next year or possible retirement

Shoey is tough.... Spent most of his career in defence but most certainly a forward or swingman. I'd say pick 20ish but there was a trade offered a few pages ago (can't find it)

Shoey and 2nd for a first and 3rd (mid-late) I'd take that

And Suckling is one we could afford to lose for the right price ( Shoey pick and first + Suckling for Sloane? Shuey? Hannebery? Cunningham?

Thoughts?
Suckling is shit, wouldn't have for free, need a top 10 pick + extra for those players mentioned.

I think people are overrating Mitchell a little here. He should be roughly a first rounder, but if your not playing AFL, your trade value certainly cannot increase. I think a club would be taking a pretty big risk to be offering a straight swap of a top 10 draft pick for him.

Him requesting to leave and a pick between the 10-19 range - the swans certainly couldn't just ignore that situation.

NEAFL certainly isn't VFL or WAFL or SAFL.
The thing that people are forgetting about Mitchell is that he's still on contract. So if he does want to leave and clubs don't offer us what we want we're still in our rights to tell him to say.

Suckling is a very good player, explain why he is "shit"

Really would like to get our hands on a couple of these hawks players and I think the time has come for us to top up on the nucleus of players we have gathered in the past 4 drafts. Currently as it stands we would get pick 6 with the frawley compo or even push us out to 7 if we get above Carlton which is certainly likely since we have probable wins against the saints and GWS and a good chance at the kangas. Not to say that the dogs shouldn't go hard at the draft but I would like at least 2 players to fill the 4 major spots we are lacking on our list (KPF, KPD, rebounding halback and another outside mid).

I propose albeit a very risky trade for us but one I think that could certainly give us a great chance of playing finals next year.

Suckling + Schoenmakers + 17 or 18 for Pick 5 or 6 and 26.

Think this is a pretty win win deal for both sides as the hawks may get another solid midfielder or say a Durdin at this pick to keep the Hawks in the top part of the ladder for years to come and we get two best 22 players and have a later round first rounder we could use on a KPF or KPD such as McKenzie or Keitel.

I think the hawks are getting ripped off.

Suckling and Schoenmakers are both worth top 20 picks + their pick 17?

No thanks.

By themselves are Suckling and Schoenmakers worth pick 5 together?

I woulnd't think so but maybe an exchange of later picks and not their first and our 2nd is probably fairer.

I'd certainly do that Shoey and Suckers for 5... Gives the hawks a glimmer of hope bailing Petracca. If we can nab Lamb, Or Weller with our other pick I think the Hawks would be flying

More likely I think we would on trade both picks 5-6 &16-18 and Hallahan for Dangerfield.

I personally would want a bit more than just Schoenmakers and Suckling for pick 5 could throw in Lowden too but to get Dangerfield you would need more than that probably would take 5, 17 and Hartung or something like that.

Suckling won't be traded he's one of the first picked at Hawthorn, when he kicks they ball in the defensive half it ends up in a score more than any other player.

Hartung isn't going anywhere.

I think Boxer is ready to rock (Ala Josh Kennedy in 2010)

And would fit the bill for the in and under they'd need to Replace Danger.

That said I think the hawks have the patience and the dollars to lure him next year as a free agent would just be nice to get him here a season earlier

I'm sure Grimley would fit the bill for the Dogs too I'd throw him in for pick 5

In theory I agree whole heartedly but if it's to snag Dangerfield? We'd be silly not to

The theory is you can't afford a 500k play in the 2s with cola on the way out so will want to trade. Depends who retires I guess.

Surely the Australian of the year is due to take his massive salary increase now. Retire and get his 1.5 a year to coach.

We'll have a few blokes leave, and in any case he's probs best 22 when fit, just really hasn't been this season.

Yeah but that's a fantasy really isn't it ? He's a FA next year and can chase a Buddy/ Ablett type deal if he wants to leave.

I love hartung and I would never trade him but thats the type of quality needed to get Danger at the very least. I think with pick 5 you could get another good midfielder their and we need another rebounder (suckling) for when Murphy retires, I'd have Schoenmakers as CHF and use him along with Campbell as FP/2nd ruck, Stringer at FF and Crameri as another hit up forward as our taller options. Lowden as back up ruck who I think is already a better player than Cordy. Would solve a lot of issues for us and all of those players have at least 5 - 7 good years ahead of them.

And thanks to the buddy fund we could offer it! Why not get 2 first round picks and a promising young kid instead of a first round compo?

We need to recruit for the now.

We need a strong in and under 23-27 year old mid, not an 18 year old
