Trade hypotheticals

Why couldn't he be a CHF or a FF though?

He's into his 5th season at the Swans and most he has managed in a year is 31 goals.

Can anyone see him becoming a 50+ goal a year forward target at the Swans with or without Tippett and Buddy? I can't.

He'd be no different to Crameri IMO, i.e. what he gives the Swans now is what he'd give the Dogs.

Reid is contracted and currently in the best 22 of a team whose premiership window is well and truly open for this year and following 2-3 at least.

Why the hell would he want a trade to the lowly Bulldogs and give all that up?
Some players like to be a bigger part of a team and be given a larger role. In the case of some players, being down the pecking order in a good side - even if you are within the best 22 - can lead to stagnation or a loss of motivation to keep improving. Others just appreciate and thrive under the extra responsibility.

That said, I agree with you. I don't understand why the Swans would trade him, and I definitely don't understand why on Earth Reid would want to come to us badly enough to change their mind.

We need Brown.
Keeffe for pick 20ish would be a great get.

Could be reasonable, although maybe a 3rd not a 2nd, bare in mine St Kilda's 2nd rounder in around pick 25

Peter Wrignt would be a good get, but I reckon he'll go at 3.

Would cost less to say get pick 3 than to get Boyd or Patton...I mean you are talking pick 1 PLUS change to get either one of them!

Just a thread for posters to see what other posters think a player in there team is worth and so on.

I'll kick it off, Anyone interested in Vickery/Griffiths?
Would maybe straight swap Griffiths for Jones. Would definitely do it next year if Jones is disappointing again.

Also got a bag kicked on him by Josh Jenkins.

Josh Jenkins has kicked a bag on more than just Lachy Keeffe, Jenkins is having a good year.

Which they would have to overpay for, don't see the point. Just draft one at pick 6.
Problem is that the two forwards of note will be gone before that pick and we'd be silly to reach for one who could be a total bust when there's talent there.

Need to go for Jake Lever at 6, kid can seriously play and head is screwed firmly on. Our KPD stocks are just as bad as our KPF stocks at the moment, so it plugs one gap.

Chase a lesser light who we think will come good to partner Jones (who will be just fine, if he lifts his work rate he'll kick 40-50 a year) or sack up and pay big time for a GWS forward if they're willing to trade one.

Regardless, it's not an absolute emergency, we're not going to contend for a flag in the next 2 years at a minimum and other options have a way of presenting themselves.
