Trade hypotheticals

I think Golds would be late 2nd round.

Stewart is a bit of a project so I don't think will be on table this year.

He had a bad back injury and missed a lot of footy and had a very wiry frame which he's done well to build up.

Having said that we have a lot of depth with talls... I don't know maybe early to mid 2nd round??
Wouldn't do that, was looking for another Aylett + Edwards for 3rd round pick type deal :p

Ultimately it's not what we think they're worth, competition will dictate where they fall.

We do have a number of blokes on the fringes such as O'Rourke, Jaksch, Whiley, Golds, Williams, Wilson, Sumner that should attract interest along with our ruckmen Giles and Phillips.

Should be a very interesting trade week!

Would brown and our second pick be enough for jaksch and o rouke

Yeah maybe but rate Macrae and Bontempelli above Stringer. They ddesperately need a quality tall and you will only get one for a decent/fair price. Patton is more likely to win a flag for them than Stringer
Any premiership side for the bulldogs in the next 10 years will have all 3 of those named you'd think.

I can understand your logic as he's a jet but don't even allow yourself the thought of it happening.

He's thriving and enjoying being part of the Giant brotherhood.

Giant for life

Wouldn't know either way mate...but I think that's great for the competition.
We simply don't have the currency anyway unless there was a certain half of my username involved.

Oh yeah, forgot about Sumner. Would also love him here.
He is the forgotten man of that draft, the kid can play.

Our second pick will probably be around pick 22 or so, I'd be more than happy to part with that for him. Good outside midfielder.

Using our 2nd round pick for Cordy id say.

Pick 10 and Edwards is perhaps slightly overs for WHE hence why you chuck in the steaknives, perhaps a late 3rd/early 4th instead of an early 3rd.

It would be overs perhaps for the dumbest list manager in the world but for anybody else it would be trading in a Rolls Royce for a Lexus.

We won't be trading contracted 1st round picks for downgrades. We have 1st round picks on our bench for NEAFL.

Most likely scenario is packaging several for early, mid or late first rounders or for an established star.

Our off contract players are a different story, we will be dictated largely by players/managers there.

Golds would probably be closer to a third rounder IMO. GWS haven't really showcased him at seniors, so he'd be a similar trade to the likes of Aylett and Hombsch.

Considering we skipped Stewart as a second or maybe 3rd round F/S selection, I dont think hes worth that much

He's an interesting one. I don't think he's done a whole lot to boost his draft stock, but watching him on the weekend I wouldn't want to let him go for a third rounder. IMO he'll develop well - he already moves like a player a fraction of his size, he just needs better awareness when he's got the ball. But until he's developed and got the games into him, he's going to be around that 2nd to 3rd rounder level if he was to be traded (which I doubt he would be, as he's under contract).

Would brown and our second pick be enough for jaksch and o rouke

I assume you mean Nathan Brown? I suspect GWS would be interested - a young CHB is hard to find. I think I might overrate Brown though.

Congrats on showing you don't watch GWS. WHE plays mainly as a HFF, not a midfielder, and plays like Jared Brennan but with work ethic.

Just because you rate him doesn't mean I have to - I rate him but rate others higher. Nothing wrong with that just doesn't find enough of the ball, doesn't do enough in defence and doesn't kick enough goals or one of either three for pick 4. But go ahead.

To the Crows fans:

What is Sam Kerridge worth trade wise?
25 games in nearly 3 years. Seems to be out of favour after playing the first half of the year (I think he was injured too)

He seems to have real ball winning & goal kicking ability too but has also been used as a tagger vs quality mids.

From a MFC perspective would a Luke Tapscott, Sam Blease, Jack Fitzpatrick etc appeal in a straight swap or would it take draft picks?

He is best 22 IMO, he has been injured for the last 6 weeks or so but has started playing reserves in the last two weeks, I don't think any of them players would be enough, maybe your 2nd rounder if he wanted to leave.what about toumpas for you guys what is he worth?

Cheers. I actually meant a combo of players, draft picks or combo of of both, as we may need to use our 2nd rnd pick on Billy Stretch (F/S).

I think Kerridge is the type of player that Roos is interested in. Having the ball winning ability & size.

What is his disposal like? From memory it seems ok?

A trade for Toumpas would be more than most would offer. I think it would take an overs for Melbourne to trade & it would be a top 10 pick, possibly top 15 pick.

On exposed form that's well overs but he is only 2yrs in & our club need his type (outside finishers) so his value to us is more than others. He's also in contract

Not out of favour at all. Will be back in the side this week (one would hope) but has been recovering from a nasty foot injury which has taken time.

We'd be more looking at a player like toumpas...but yeah who knows if either of them are on the table.

They should - ontrade pick 2 + pick 10 + Cameron for Dangerfield and Sloan

GWS lose pick 2 , Cameron, WHE
GWS gain Dangerfield, Sloan, Edwards, pick 40

draft pick 20, 34, 40, 52

That should do them.

Ah I think I just died a little inside.
If Sloane leaves, I leave.

WHE is worth a top 4 pick alone, not sure how and why he would be traded for pick 10 and some other rubbish. WHE is almost as untradeable as you get from the GWS list. One of the few blokes on their list with elite foot skills.

Agreed. Would offer our first rounder for him (which will be earlier than Richmonds) and then some change (if we had any of interest to GWS).
