Our first pick (which I think will be #6) for O'Rourke, Liam Sumner and pick #20 (compo pick).

Would this seem like a fair deal? Looks like a win/win to me.
Why hold back.Ask for Cameron or Boyd as well. You need a fwd.

Interested to see what others think these players are worth from Freo. (I've put my opinion in brackets)

Crozier (late 2nd/early 3rd)
Sheridan (2nd rounder)
Hannath (3rd rounder)
Silvagni (early 2nd rounder)

What would clubs offer for these guys?
Interested in Hannath for a 3rd.
Need someone in a few years time who's ready to jump in when Hampson gets the chop.

How so? Other than being out of contract and coming from Adelaide there's nothing to suggest that they're the front runners in getting him. Going by that logic, West Coast are front runners in getting Ben Howlett.

There is lots of rumours about it, which I believe.

Melbourne will have at least one of picks 3 or 4 on the table you'd think. Probably our early second rounder as well.
If I were in charge at the Dogs I'd be looking to upgrade our first pick to one of these. It's likely the difference between a KPP and having to address our KPP needs via other means.

That said, it won't happen. We have pieces you'd be interested in (for example, Clay Smith), but they're either necessary for us to hold onto, or difficult to organise a fair deal around.

All the rumours I've heard about it are coming from you and dumb Facebook pages, one of which suggested Rory Sloane would go to Essendon

God for you mate, believe what you want.

Please take Steven for one of those tasty picks.

Why's that? Not a fan of Steven? I really rate him. I'd be happy to trade our first pick for Steven, and perhaps some later pick swapping in our favour ... (our first and third round picks for Steven and your second round pick?)

I think with Sandi resigning for another year Hannath will struggle to get games for the next few years. Even when Sandi retires, we will have Clarke, Griffen and hopefully Moller/Apeness. I think he'll be traded or delisted this year

How much would Blease cost?

Will he be delisted?
I'd imagine so, he's played a number of reasonable games in the VFL recently but just hasn't had a look in, even when they probably needed somebody with his attributes.

That said, I doubt many would be interested. He's played a few great games (one against the Suns springs to mind) but for the most part he just doesn't look comfortable on the field, makes too many mistakes and doesn't seem to know what to do. I'd be surprised if somebody else took him on.

Well be after young, but ready to play mids - and possibly a ruckman who will be ready within a year or 2.

Pick 3 and our second round pick for Mitchell and Sydney's first round pick.

Sydney's first round pick on-traded for Lycett?

Should think you'd be using your 2nd round pick on Billy Stretch.

I reckon you'll get a shot at Durdin or Goddard without needing to upgrade to be honest - and pick 3 may not get you Wright or McCartin.

Our third round pick will probably be locked up with Billy Stretch.

I'd be surprised if he's not delisted. He has the pace, but butchers the ball very badly, and doesn't offer anything defensively - he's 23 years old already. I'm sure we would do a token trade for a pick we won't use, just to help him get to wherever suits him.

I still expect Durdin to feature very highly. If we keep our current ladder position and you guys are handed a band 1 compo for Frawley I don't think there's any chance of him being around. Goddard I'm not a huge fan of.

I guess we'll see, but at the moment we're heading for a pick that is tricky in terms of talls in my opinion.

I like Steven, but his slight drop in form makes it hard for me to think of a deal that would work. Perhaps pick 4 for Steven and your second round pick? Not sure if either of us would go for that.

Who would take Durdin do you think?

He didn't have a great carnival, and if we use picks 3 and 4 I can actually see us taking both of Brayshaw and Petracca.

I see Durdin going 5 - 8 personally.

Goddard has dropped a lot.

His carnival wasn't great, but he showed signs of building really solidly throughout. His talent is clear, and he's a versatile tall that can play in almost any position on the ground - and remarkably for a junior, he's shown very, very promising signs in all of them. He's had an injury interrupted year, but for mine those signs of him continuing to build to top form are enough for me to think that he will still feature very highly, despite an average carnival. I will be very surprised if he slides out of the top five at draft time.

Melbourne are an interesting case, for mine. On the one hand, Petracca and Brayshaw would fit you perfectly and likely make an immediate impact. On the other, if Frawley goes, Mitch Clark's retirement and Hogan's uncertain injury cloud does leave you a bit more vulnerable in the key position department - something you've, naturally, been quite confident in in recent years. Durdin doesn't solve that completely, but if you get the opportunity to take a quality KPP with a high ceiling at a high pick, I would be jumping at it. Durdin's versatility also makes him a great fit for the Dees.

Past that, with the Giants' overloaded midfield and forward line a tall defender wouldn't go astray. They have a number of them on their list but they haven't been able to get on the park consistently. Plus, I don't think they have a key defender with the ceiling of Durdin. Depending on where the Dogs finish (and I add that it's unlikely we end up on top of the following two sides), Richmond and Carlton (especially) could also be tempted by Durdin.

I certainly hope you're right - would love Durdin in a Doggies jumper - but come draft day I don't expect him to be doing a whole lot of sliding.

Why would melbourne have 3 and 4?

Frawley worth a late first round at best. Lol at dees thinking there ending up with two top 5 picks
That's not how it works. If he gets the salary that is being speculated, Melbourne get band 1 free agency compensation - a pick straight after their first round pick, regardless of where it falls.

Well surely he wont get the figures that are speculated. Think 500k sounds there abouts. What band is that?

He'll get more than that. GWS have oodles of money and a desperate need of a FB.
