Crozier perhaps. Sheridan has been getting decent game time, and is realistically needing another pre-season before pressing for a best 22 with us on his own merit.

If Sylvia remains at his current output then Crozier (or another player) should be able to press for selection. It won't be easy as there are other candidates, but if he is the best, then he could take it.
Yeah I'm hoping Simpson comes back and is the medium small/mid to fight with Sylvia. I rate him more than Croz

You really think you have the 4th best defence in the league?
Statistics say so. Average 11 goals against/game, 4th best points against and held the 2 best forward sides (averaging 115 and 105 points/game) to 90 and 60 points repectively. Our defence is elite

Agreed, only Sydney in efficiency above it for mine.

Dunno where you got 11 goals a game. By my calculations it's 12.87 goals a game. Sydney's in 11.41 and Fremantle's is 10.92. Port also has a better average than Essendon.

You're working from total points against, presumably he has the actual goals figures. Regardless of the precise method though, Essendon are indeed fourth-tightest.

Didn't even think of that...

But yeah Essendon are 4th best regardless

Keiran Harper + 2nd rounder for Kristian Jaksch

or

Liam Anthony for Ash Smith (WCE) Straight Swap

Wouldn't want Anthony.

Smith should be close to free. Would definitely trade him for a third rounder if we could get it.

What is Harper's value? Is he contracted? What do you think you would get for him if he nominated a club?

Wow - so you would say last year the North forward line was elite? Just like the essendon back line I wouldn't - it's more to do with your forward line being so bad you play keepings off. You struggle to kick 10 goals so you stuff around with it to reduce the scoring opportunities of your opposition. You wouldn't be sitting 10th with your season on the line in round 17 if your backline was elite.

Harper would play consistent footy at a few of the lower clubs at the moment. Is lightning quick. Im really not sure why he hasnt had much of an opportunity this season.

Not sure on his contractual status. Would most likely want a third rounder or so i would imagine

Good with ball in hand - just can't find enough of it.

I thought he was going to be a gun but he's on the outer, I don't think you would even get a 3rd rounder tbh, he hasn't got any games in 2 years.

Yeah its a difficult one with Harper, I can see him becoming a solid player at another club.

He is really behind a large number of players at North, and i think bringing in Nahas was the real telling factor in where he sits.

I really want to keep him and develop him into a genuine half forward flanker

Well then you'd be wrong.

He's the type of player we need.

Melbourne will have at least one of picks 3 or 4 on the table you'd think. Probably our early second rounder as well.

Well be after young, but ready to play mids - and possibly a ruckman who will be ready within a year or 2.

Pick 3 and our second round pick for Mitchell and Sydney's first round pick.

Sydney's first round pick on-traded for Lycett?

Anyone from the tigers?

Please take Steven for one of those tasty picks.

On current form, I can't think of anyone to be totally honest.
fair enough, are you going to delist Blease this year?

Maybe a token trade like pick 90 for him or something if he is?

Sydney will be forced to use their first pick on Heeney (academy)

Aren't Port getting Lycett?

They are definitely the front runners, if i was him I would stay at WC though.
How so? Other than being out of contract and coming from Adelaide there's nothing to suggest that they're the front runners in getting him. Going by that logic, West Coast are front runners in getting Ben Howlett.
