How would you know? How can such a thing be an opinion?
You can be of the opinion that the Bulldogs aren't an attractive destination, which would be ironic, but you wouldn't have the first clue about where players want to go.
Would that not be a breach of the rules?
Technically it's a breach of the rules to offer a contract with concrete terms to a player outside of the trade period. He's not a free agent & isn't it only against the rules if he signs something?
Adelaide did the same with Eddie Betts @ the end of 2012 (a full year before he became a FA). Teams do it all the time.
Fremantle won't trade 17 for Jetta. We have enough of that type (Hill, Pearce, Morabito, Sheridan).Sydney to get James Frawley to replace the aging Richards and Grundy in free agency.
Sydney to trade Mitchell to Melbourne for pick 3 and Reid to Bulldogs for pick 6 and Jetta to Freo for pick 17.
swans will get the player they want, salary cap relief, 3 first round picks to go with Isaac Heeney.

Hawks fans, what would Sam Grimley cost? Nice and cheap?
Every club would be looking at Lowden. He's stuck behind Hale, who may or may not retire, Ceglar & McEvoy.
Wouldn't be worth much would he? What's he nearly 30?Your right, but I reckon Hale will be the ruckman the Hawks put on the trade table.

Hahaha no. A late 2nd rounder for a 5th in line ruckman? They won't be giving him away, a late second rounder, sounds about right.
Yeah, that's not true at all. Not sure where Carey pulled that from.

That was an interesting capitulation by MFC on Sunday. Wonder when the "tanking" for picks innuendo starts??
Everybody knows Roosy covets early picks..he is always going on about it in the media.
From MFC's point of view finishing below GWS could be important as they will likely have consecutive picks (Frawley compo) which could give them greater bargaining power with the Giants to trade one of them back.
Despite rumours suggesting otherwise I see St Kilda taking McCartin as their need for a KPF is so strong, which leaves Petracca whom GWS apparently want.
Could remaining below GWS allow MFC the hand they need to deal The number 2 pick to get an established kid they want?? If they have picks 2 and 3 they can deal 2 to GWS for maybe Shiel and keep 3 for Wright or Durdin or possibly even Brayshaw.
They do have form here, the clash between the Giants and Demons in a fortnight could be for the Petracca Cup!!
All the more reason for the AFL to have a lottery for the first 5 picks.
Are you seriously questioning MFC & Roos about tanking?
Roos has been very outspoken since he arrived about winning, the need for winning games of footy & creating a winning culture.
There is no way Roos orchestrated a loss yesterday.
You say Roos coverts these low picks when history says the complete opposite.
Roos likes to trade picks, not stockpile them like others have in the past.
We lost yesterday because we didn't take our chances when we had them, either through lack of ability, mental fragility, pressure from the opposition etc etc.
It certainly wasn't because we tanked & if you seriously think that you are an uneducated fool.

Don't you think an NBA draft style lottery of the bottom selections between the bottom teams would take any innuendo out of the equation??
I just think there would only be upside in doing this.

Are you the list manager of the dogs? How would u know if a general offer wasn't informally given to Patton?Yeah, that's not true at all. Not sure where Carey pulled that from.
He'd know that such an offer wasn't made to Patton because it's completely and utterly at odds with our list management policy and with the modus operandi of everybody in charge at the club. Are you the list manager of the dogs? How would u know if a general offer wasn't informally given to Patton?
Your club would be negligent to not be tabling offers.
Did u also see Pattons amazing power to be at whitten oval and America at the same time?
He doesn't ruck anymore. He's a key forward. Might even be a chance to get delisted.Hahaha no. A late 2nd rounder for a 5th in line ruckman?
And he'd be the 3rd ruck at Essendon. Maybe a token trade, Grimley for a 6th round pick?He doesn't ruck anymore. He's a key forward. Might even be a chance to get delisted.
