The Hawks are better off targeting a Jez Cameron or Jon Patton type to replace Roughead when he retires in 3/4 years time.

Not convinced the Hawks need a Dangerfield type at this stage ..

Mitchell in 2?? Burgoyne, Hodge Sewell? All likely to retire before Roughead who we have Gunston and OBrien who will be perfectly capable of filling the role.

Because that's a very weird and frankly stupid way of valuing a player. If he was producing the same output at St Kilda he would probably be higher rated because he wouldn't be receiving the support he does from the Swans brigade.

If he's getting regular games for the club (with a fully fit squad) they obviously see a use for him. Hence they are unlikely to trade him cheaply. Doesn't seem very complicated?

This (well, not necessarily Cunningham). Instead of whinging about COLA and what not, other clubs should be looking to do their own raids on Sydney. Malceski available, O'Keefe who is now a handy depth player for Sydney could possibly be tempted, Jetta who knows, and guys like Mitchell, Cunningham, Towers and Johnson who are all very talented young players could be offered v.good contracts elsewhere.

I'd happily pick up a player like Cunningham for pick 15-20 in the draft, but the only clubs that will have a pick in that sort of range will be other challengers, who won't have the salary cap room to offer up a big enough contract to get Cunningham to move. And he's unlikely to leave a premiership contender for a rebuilding side when he's just cemented his spot. But those are the type of players that need to be looked at instead of just complaining about other advantages.

Mid teens pick, maybe low teens. That said, contracted and he is a local boy. Why would he leave when the Swans are up there and he is a lock in the 22.
