I'm not sure you understand the term 'trade table', but I'll forgive you. Just don't do it again.

If you read TBOW's post rather than jumping to an irrational conclusion because somebody from another club has expressed interest in a young star at your club (shock, horror!!), you'll note he said 'on the trade table', the only logical inference being that Patton was up for trade for the right price - if it's true.

GWS and the supporters can bluff and bluster all they want, but we've seen that players, if they don't re-sign, can threaten to walk to the PSD, and following that, they either do so, or the club caves and gets value for them.

I hope GWS can hold onto the young players, and I don't think it'll be a problem, but given you received so many concessions and as such have so many brilliant young talented players, it seems pointless getting upset every time somebody inquires as to a player's contract status, or expresses their desire to see the likes of Patton or Cameron at their own club.

I'd give up pick 10 for Ziebell. Purely hypothetical as there is no way he would leave.

Ash Smith - if we delisted him would anyone want their club to pick him up?
Any club looking to fill their shit haircut quota should inquire.

How is the Dogs shit haircut quota looking? I can't think of any crimes against hair fashion running around for you blokes.

In all seriousness I'm guessing you agree that he is spud who might not be on an AFL list next year? I'm just not sure if that's just an Eagles view or not.

Thankfully it didn't last a week.

We have plenty of redheads, does that count?

Yeah, I don't think he has a lot to offer. I'm pretty surprised he's still on your list to be honest, although you're pretty light on for depth in that regard. I know the Dogs were interested a few years back but I'm hoping that interest has faded, haha.

You honestly think that our favourite for the BnF, future captain, star 22 year old midfielder would be on the table?

I know for a fact that Heppell is a lifetime Essendon supporter and stoked to be playing football for the Bombers

If it's left to him he will never leave.

Remember this is trade Hypotheticals!! So it's about what they would be worth. Heppell is easily worth as much as Judd was on open market...

However let me assure you his mum is LIVID with the Essendon football club and if they continue down the track they're headed she will do what she can to get him at what she thinks is a club with a culture fit for her clearly talented boy.

My opinion he's worth the moon

Top 3 pick in this years draft, a late first and a top 7 player at any club.

Eg 4&5 and Viney from the Dees

Being discussed at trade table could be -

Western Bulldogs "What do you want for Jon Patton??"

GWS "Will never be traded go and get stuffed"
It sounds more like a case of-

Giants: pick 1 is on the table for x value.
Club: that's pretty pricey, how much for Patton.
Giants: Patton is x value + y value.

Clubs can always put a guy on the table but price him out of consideration.

I had the suspicion that before drafting Boyd, GWS rated him higher than Patton due to his ability to relief ruck. I get the feeling that the preference may have swung over the course of the year.
But I'm really going off nothing.

Maybe it is more a case of the club seeing the forward line function better with Boyd and Patton and without Tomlinson now. It's a nice dilemma to have.

Not a chance in hell Heppel is worth as much as Judd was.

Rumors on our board are griff has 3 offers from other clubs worth more then our offer it remains to be seen what happens. If griff decides to leave freo would be in a strong position. And if you guarantee him game time even more so

It has been reported on our board that Griffin is being chased by up to 3 clubs. He is contracted until the end of 2015, but with Clarke our number 2 ruckmen he is unlikely to play in the short term.

Which club needs a ruck? Port, Adelaide and Swans may be looking for a backup ruck. Not sure who else would be.

What would you offer?

Any young promising KPF will be looked at favourable, any pick after the 3rd round will be ignored and pick upgrade will be considered.

We have plenty of midfield\flanker depth so am not looking at any players in those positions.

Third rounder for Griffin? We still need a ruck bad!

We would want more than you could give for Griffiths.

That's largely how I read it as well. Patton would have been enquired about by a number of teams.

Heppell's mummy might want him out of there, but Dyson himself will know as well as anyone that what went wrong was the fault of a regime within the club, not the club itself, and that he's going to be an outstanding player for Essendon long after the likes of Hird are gone.

I'd pay almost anything for him, but he absolutely will never leave, irrespective of the circumstances within the club.

How much would Jamie Elliot be worth??

Is guess 1st rounder and maybe steak knives

People have to start talking numbers and not just rounders.

1st rounder, taking up possible compos can be 1 - 20
2nd rounder .....................................................21 - 40

Big, big difference isn't it?
